Introduction

This financial aid scheme is established to provide financial assistance to students whose parents serve as educators or teachers. The purpose of the financial aid is to recognize the contributions of educators to society and to help their families access affordable, high-quality higher education. By supporting the education of educators’ wards, we aim to build a future where education remains a central value, encouraging academic success across generations.

Eligibility for Application:

An applicant who fulfil the following criteria:

  • The benefits of this scheme are extended to applicants whose parent(s) are full-time serving teachers or educators employed at Public or Private schools affiliated with CBSE, CISCE, State Boards, or NIOS (any other board recognized by COBSE; refer list https://www.cobse.org.in/members/) and UGC recognized or approved Universities and affiliated colleges.
  • The educator must be currently in active service at the time of application. Part-time, guest faculty, retired, or private tutor roles will not be considered for benefits of this scheme.
  • Admission Eligibility: The applicant must meet the general admission requirements for their chosen programme at the university.
  • Nationality: The applicant must be a citizen of India.

Benefits under the scheme:

Category for Application Benefit
Category 1: Not Eligible or Availing Any Scholarship or Financial Aid 20% financial aid on programme fee
Category 2: Students availing any other scholarship 20% Additional financial aid on the remaining programme fee after the scholarship*
    Note:

Eligible students will be awarded an additional 20% financial aid on the remaining fee after deduction of the scholarship. Please note that students availing any other financial aid (LPU Rakshak Samman Anudaan, Orphan, Person with certain Disability, Need Based) will not be eligible for the additional benefits.

Programme Considered

  • The applications are generally accepted in all regular programmes, Except, Programmes with tie-up, work-integrated; and After Ph.D. are not included for benefits under the scheme. The scheme is not applicable for distance learning or online programmes.

Application Submission

  • Fill the details in the application form
    (Application for LPU Shikshak Samman Anudaan-2026).
  • Color Scan all the required documents.
  • Submit the application along with applicable documents through an email to financialaid@lpu.co.in. The subject of email must have: Application for LPU Shikshak Samman Anudaan – name of Applicant.
  • In case an applicant is visiting University campus or designated offices of university in various cities, the scanned copy of application and applicable documents to be emailed at financialaid@lpu.co.in. by the university official or by applicant before the due date.
  • The application can be submitted before or after taking admission.
  • Note: The applicant should clearly mention details/ information pertaining to the scheme and scanned documents must be readable.
  • The applicant shall be responsible to ensure that all required documents for availing benefits under the scheme are completed on or before the specified due date(s).

Document Requirement

  • Educator’s ID proof (School/ College/ University ID Card);
  • Letter of Recommendation (LOR) on official letterhead of institutions duly signed and stamped by Principal or Head of Institution, refer Performa of the university.
  • Education Documents: Applicant is required to submit the mark sheet of 10th (Matriculate) compulsorily along with education result or mark sheet of eligibility qualification.
  • Additional Document: Proof of employment can be asked such as at least last 3-month salary slip along with bank statement as proof (containing the salary transactions) and/or appointment and/or Joining letter; or Any other document(s) required by the committee from time to time etc.

Important Dates

The last date of application will be till the last date of admission.

Selection of Application

Applications will be reviewed by the university financial aid team and Applications complete in all respects shall be forwarded to admission verification team for further verification and award of the benefits.

Result Declaration and Intimation

The result of applications will be communicated individually through an email within 10-15 working days from date of application marked complete.

Disbursement of Benefits

The financial aid benefits will be directly awarded to the student’s fee account within 7-10 working days from date of application verified by the admission verification team, reducing the amount payable.

Insufficient information or incomplete documents will make applicants ineligible and such applications will not be processed/ presented before the committee.

Other Terms and Conditions: All other conditions as mentioned under the head “Terms & Conditions for LPU-Scholarship, its different phases” in Part-B of Prospectus or on university website will also be applicable.

Conditions for Revocation of Financial Aid: The university reserves the right to revoke the Financial aid under the following conditions:

  • Submission of false or misleading information during the application process.
  • Disciplinary action against the student for any misconduct.
