Recognizing Educators, Supporting Their Families
Introduction
This financial aid scheme provides financial assistance to students whose parents serve as educators or teachers. The purpose of the financial aid is to recognize the contributions of educators to society and to help their families access quality higher education. By supporting the education of educators’ wards, we aim to build a future where education remains a central value, encouraging academic success across generations.
Who Can Apply:
An applicant who fulfil the following criteria:
- Parental Occupation: The applicant’s parent(s) must be full-time teachers or educators currently employed at any recognized educational institution, including government or private schools affiliated with CBSE, ICSE, state boards, NIOS, or other national or state-recognized educational boards (COBSE affiliated) and UGC approved Universities and affiliated colleges.
- This financial aid is applicable to the wards of principals, professors, teachers, educators, including laboratory technicians working in recognized schools, colleges, and universities.
- Admission Eligibility The applicant must meet the general admission requirements for their chosen programme at the university.
- Nationality The applicant must be a citizen of India.

- Note:
Eligible students will be awarded an additional 20% financial aid on the remaining fee after deduction of the scholarship. Please note that students availing any other financial aid (LPU Rakshak Samman Anudan, Orphan, Person with certain Disability, Need Based) will not be eligible for the additional benefits.
Programme Considered
- The applications are accepted in all regular full-time undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D., and diploma programmes offered by the university except programmes with tie-up or work-integrated programmes.
Application Process
- A duly filled application form for LPU Shikshak Samman Anudan-2025 along with color scanned documents to be submitted through an email to financialaid@lpu.co.in; Please note that mobile photographs will not be accepted.
- In case an applicant is visiting University campus or designated offices of university in various cities, the scanned copy of application and applicable documents to be emailed at financialaid@lpu.co.in. by the university official or by applicant before the due date.
- The application can be submitted before or after admission.
Documents Required
- A Letter of Recommendation from Principal/ Head of Institution [Refer format in annexures].
- Copy of ID card Issued to Parent(s).
- Identity proof of both the applicant and their parent(s).
Important Dates
- The last date of application is last date of admission with scholarship or financial aid i.e. 11th August 2025 (Application Closed)
Selection Process
- Applications will be reviewed by the university’s financial aid team or committee. Applicants will be notified of the decision within two weeks [10 working days] from the application considered complete in all respects.
Disbursement of Benefits
- The financial aid benefits will be directly awarded to the student’s fee account, reducing the amount payable as per the approved financial aid within 10 working days from date of application approved by the university.
Terms and Conditions
- Facilities: Applicants who wish to avail themselves of facilities such as transportation, swimming, gym, parking, residential facilities (stay, mess, and laundry etc. including food and laundry) will be liable to pay for the same.
- Insufficient information or incomplete documents will make applicants ineligible, and such applications will not be processed/ presented before the committee.
- Other Terms and Conditions:All other conditions as mentioned under the head “Terms & Conditions for LPU-Scholarship, its different phases” in Part-B of Prospectus or on university website will also be applicable.

LPU offers a variety of scholarships to support all deserving candidates. A candidate can get scholarship on the basis of one’s performance in LPUNEST or on the basis of other scholarship schemes offered by university like based on the score in qualification previous to eligibility qualification, performance in sports, cultural, R&D, co-curricular, social service, bravery awards or performance in national level tests like JEE (Main), NEET, UCEED, CAT, MAT, GATE, GPAT etc.
