Elated to share that our verto Nishu has secured a bronze medal at the U23 World Wrestling Championship held in Serbia. Competing in the fiercely contested women's 55kg category, Nishu demonstrated exceptional skill, resilience, and sportsmanship. Her accomplishment not only reflects her dedication to the sport but also brings immense pride to her institution and country. Nishu’s success stands as an inspiring testament to the power of perseverance and the pursuit of excellence.
The LPU Archery Team has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the distinguished title of 1st Runner-Up in the All Inter University Archery Games 2025-26. This outstanding collective effort is officially recognized with a total tally of 10 medals, signifying the exceptional caliber of our student-athletes. The team’s final medal count includes 5 Gold, 3 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals. This significant performance not only underscores the team's commitment to excellence but also establishes a new benchmark for the university's athletic program in national inter-university competition.
LPU students Kiran and Suman Devi competed as members of the Indian Women’s Eight crew during the 2025 Asian Rowing Championship and secured a Bronze Medal in a fiercely contested event.
A moment of pride for LPU as our student Balraj Panwar has won gold from the Asian Rowing Championships 2025 in Vietnam, this LPU powerhouse dominated the men’s single sculls category with grit and grace.
Dancing on the clouds as our student Mirabai Chanu won silver at the World Weightlifting Championships 2025 in Forde, Norway. Competing in the 48kg category, she lifted an impressive total of 199Kg (84kg in snatch and 115kg in clean and jerk), showing her trademark grit and consistency.
Beaming wth joy as our student Antim Panghal won a bronze medal in the women’s 53kg category at the 2025 World Wrestling Championships in Croatia, overpowering Sweden’s Emma Malmgren with a dominant 7-0 victory. With sharp counterattacks and unshakable defensive control, Antim not only delivered India’s sole freestyle wrestling medal this year but also extended the nation’s medal streak at the Worlds since 2018.
The LPU family is beaming with pride as Sairaj Pardeshi has bagged Gold Medal at the Commonwealth Games Weightlifting Championships 2025.
Our verto, Bindyarani Devi has won silver at the Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships 2025. Competing in the 58kg category, she lifted a whopping total of 206kg (91kg snatch + 115kg clean and jerk).
Tokyo Olympic Medallist & LPU student Mirabai Chanu wins Gold at the Commonwealth Championships 2025 in Ahmedabad with a phenomenal 193kg lift (84kg snatch + 109kg clean & jerk), securing direct qualification for the 2026 Commonwealth Games — a proud moment for LPU & the Nation!
Takhellambam Inunganbi, student of LPU, secured the Gold Medal in the Women’s 70 KG category at the Amman Asian Open 2025. This historic achievement adds to LPU’s legacy of sporting excellence and showcases the university’s commitment to nurturing world-class athletes.
Our student Neha has clinched the Gold Medal in the Junior National Wrestling (57kg) and the Gold Medal at the Ranking Series in Mongolia (57kg Category), along with the Silver Medal at the Ranking Series in Budapest, Hungary (57kg Category). Our Karate Team has made an outstanding mark at the All India Independence Cup Karate Championship 2025 by clinching an impressive 11 Medals — 7 Golds, 2 Silvers, and 2 Bronzes. Their remarkable achievements reflect the hard work, dedication, and discipline instilled in them, setting a new benchmark for excellence in sports at LPU.
Jaismine Lamboria has brought immense pride to the university by winning the Gold Medal at the World Boxing Cup Astana 2025 in the Women’s 57 KG category. Her exceptional performance, discipline, and dedication to the sport of boxing are a true testament to her hard work and resilience.
