Foundry Shop

IC Engine Lab
The IC Engine Lab is equipped with a reciprocating compressor, diesel engine test rigs (single and double-cylinder) with mechanical, hydraulic and electrical dynamometer, a petrol engine test rig, and a cut-section diesel engine. In this workshop students learn various machining operations used in manufacturing of a product. It consist of machines such as Lathe, Shaper, Milling, Slotter and various grinders.
Metrology Lab
The Metrology Lab is equipped with precision tools such as a surface roughness tester, surface plate, eccentricity apparatus, and two profile projectors. It features Mitutoyo micrometers, vernier calipers, and height gauges for highly accurate dimensional and surface measurements. This lab enables detailed inspection and calibration for quality control and precision engineering.
Refrigeration and air conditioning lab
In this workshop, students learn about the Refrigerator and Air conditioners with the help of models. Moreover, performance test rigs are also available to calculate the COP of the machine under various conditions

This workshop is about giving a shape to the metal. In this workshop a furnace is used to heat the metal and then change its shape as per the requirement, various tools and equipments are used to deform the metal

The Welding Shop is equipped with MIG and TIG welding units, AC arc welding, and 24 bench vises to facilitate various metal joining and fabrication tasks.
