Celebrating Success at 37th Inter University North Zone Youth Festival

Elated to share that we have become Overall Champion in the 37th AIU North Zone Youth Festival, outshining participants from 18 universities. Our Vertos have proudly lifted a diverse range of trophies, including the Overall Music Trophy, Overall Fine Arts Trophy, Overall Literary Trophy, Overall Dance Trophy, and 1st Runner-up Trophy (Theatre).

Harmonious Homage: Ustad Alla Rakha Sangeet Sammelan 2024 at LPU

Presented by The Division of Art and Culture in partnership with Puratan Kala Punjab Gharana Tabla Vadan Sikhya Kender, this event united students and faculty in a celebration of classical music's splendor. Honoring the legacy of the iconic tabla maestro, Ustad Alla Rakha, attendees were enthralled by stellar performances from renowned artists. It was a jubilant homage to India's classical music heritage, leaving an indelible mark on all who participated.

Another feather in the cap as LPU lifts the first runner-up trophy

LPU has won the first runner-up championship trophy of the inter-university youth festival held at GNDU campus in Amritsar. Our contingent won 8 first positions; 13 second; and 8 third positions. LPU stands as the only private university in the state to be at the prominent place for the last two years.

Our students made the audience grooved to the beats of Bhangra as they gave a mesmerizing performance at Yuva Sangam, Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Sangam. The event was graced by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Hon’ble Union Minister for Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan.

National Youth Parliament at LPU

LPU aimed to replicate legislative and executive processes, fostering a deep understanding of the Indian Parliamentary system. Its primary objective was to strengthen democratic values and instill disciplined habits among the youth. Around 50-plus universities across the country participated. Each student effectively represented the Portfolio assigned to them in the committe of Lok Sabha with the agenda ”UCC”.

LPU’s No Name Crew (NNC) shine at the 12th Indian Hip Hop Dance Championship in Mumbai, secures victory. Advancing to the mega crew division, they join the elite 21 teams nationwide. They are proudly selected for the World Hip Hop Dance Championship to be held in Phoenix, US, August 3- 10, 2024. They are the sole representatives of India. A moment of pride for LPU.

The 2nd International Youth Festival by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), One World 2023, fosters cultural exchange and understanding. With 2500 students from 50-plus countries, the event showcased unity in diversity through cultural parades, vibrant performances, and interactive stalls, highlighting the rich tapestry of traditions at LPU.

LPU students secured the 2nd runner up trophy at the 1st AIU National Women Student Parliament held on 14th March-16th March, 2023 organised by Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar(M.P) under the aegis of Association of Indian Universities.

LPU sets the record for World's Largest Bhangra Performance

In a glorious effort to mark Punjab Day, 4411 students of Lovely Professional University, Punjab came together to set the record of the World’s Largest Bhangra Performance. The mammoth crowd of Bhangra enthusiasts beat the previous world record which was set for 2100 performers.

LPU has societies for all major art forms.

Dance Society

Instructing students to express a story with dance. Students learn classical, western and regional dance forms from experts and maestros.

Music Society

The music society makes university come alive every evening through there musical events and concerts. Society has many clubs where students can learn FOLK LORE, INDIAN INSTRUMENTAL & VOCAL, WESTERN INSTRUMENTAL & VOCAL.

Literary Society

This society caters to students who are interested in writing poetry and prose. The society conducts various workshops as well as competitions in order to groom budding authors.

Fine Arts

University students join this society to learn conceptual, sculpture and paint arts. Their work finds its way on university walls and adds to the aesthetic beauty.


This Club provides students with the opportunities to participate not only in University plays, dramas, mime, mimicry, skits, etc; but also to compete against the universities on state and national levels.
