NCC Activities
Fostering Leadership and Discipline
With a total of 542 NCC Cadets, supported by 2 Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) and 2 Cadet Training Officers (CTOs), we aim to develop leadership qualities and a spirit of service among our cadets.
Republic Day Participants
Over 40 NCC Cadets participated in the Republic Day Parade, proudly showcasing LPU in front of the President of India. This achievement reflects their dedication to national service and includes a month-long training camp that enhances leadership skills and fosters teamwork.
National Camps
Over 30 NCC Cadets have proudly represented LPU at various national camps, including the Thal Sena Camp, National Adventure Camp, National Integration Camps, CATC, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat Camp, and Advanced Leadership Camp.
National Seminars
National seminars were hosted with leaders like Major General P.K. Sehgal, sharing insights on leadership and community development. Colonel Vinod Joshi inspired 140 cadets, emphasizing the NCC's core values of "Unity and Discipline," enriching their experiences and fostering leadership.
Youth Exchange Program
The Cadets represented LPU at the Youth Exchange Program, showcasing their skills and earning awards. Their commitment to leadership and cultural exchange fosters personal growth and global understanding, embodying LPU's spirit of dedication and service.
Sangram - Inter Platoon Competition
Two editions of the Inter Platoon competition, ‘Sangram’ had been hosted on campus. This dynamic event includes precision drills and sports like badminton, volleyball, football, basketball, and tug of war followed by cultural performances by cadets.
Community Services: Championing Environmental and Social Responsibility
LPU NCC is dedicated to community service, organizing impactful programs for awareness and action. On Earth Day, cadets planted trees and cleaned the Satluj River as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
NCC Camps at LPU
Various camps, including CATC, PDLS, Pre RDC, and Pre TSC, are hosted attracting students nationwide for valuable training. Cadets also participate in prestigious events like the RD Camp, Youth Exchange Program, and Thal Sena Camp and attachment programs with the IMA and Army.
- Under Officer Roshan Kumar Mahto LPU-NCC represented PH HP & CHD DTE at the All India Thal Sainik Camp 2022, he got gold medal in shooting.
- UO Yangzee Bhutia from LPU-NCC represented PH HP & CHD DTE at the All India Thal Sainik Camp 2023, excelling in the Quiz Competition with a bronze medal and showcasing her Map Reading skills.
- LPU-NCC congratulates CPL Anmol Anand for representing PH HP & C Directorate at AITSC 2024, where his Judging Distance and Field Signals team secured 1st position with gold medal, contributing to the overall SD category championship.
- Three LPU-NCC cadets—SUO Aman Sharma, UO Abhishek Sharma, and Navneet Singh—proudly represented LPU and 8 PB BN at the 2024 Republic Day Parade at Rajpath, Delhi, in the presence of the Prime Minister.
- SUO Navneet Singh represented LPU-NCC at the prestigious 2024 Youth Exchange Program in the UK, winning a gold medal for Best in Drill and a silver medal for Best Shot Runner-Up!

The National Service Scheme (NSS) by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has been in operation in LPU since 2011. The Motto of NSS is ‘NOT ME BUT YOU’. Currently, LPU-NSS has over 1900+ active members from different disciplines, working rigorously for community, health care, literacy drives and environmental protection.
NSS Activities
The Motto of NSS is “NOT ME BUT YOU” and overall personality development through community service. The basic objective of NSS is to arouse and enrich the social consciousness of youth.
Seven Days Special Camp
LPU – NSS organize Summer and Winter Seven Days Special Camp in adopted villages to enhance personality of every volunteer socially, morally, physically and culturally. In these camps, every volunteer participates in activities that inculcate leadership quality.
Pre Reuplic Day Camp
LPU proudly hosted the North Zone Pre RD Camp, organized by the Regional Directorate, aimed at selecting NSS volunteers for the prestigious Republic Day Parade. The students showcased their talent with several being selected to represent LPU at various levels.
Republic Day
Over the years, many of our dedicated students have represented our institution in the Republic Day Parade, celebrating national integration. The camp offers rigorous training and deepens understanding of democratic values, fostering personal growth and national pride.
Social Awareness Programs
Social awareness programs are conducted in adopted villages, partnering with organizations like the Election Commission, NPCI, HDFC and Vicco. These initiatives educate villagers on voter awareness, digital safety, and health, empowering them to make informed decisions.
Youth Talk
Youth Talks empowers young voices to discuss societal issues and inspire positive change. Participants develop leadership skills and embrace social entrepreneurship, fostering innovative thinking and collaboration to shape a new generation of impactful leaders.
Day Celebration
LPU NSS commemorates key national days like AIDS Awareness Day, Gandhi Jayanti, and Republic Day, celebrating unity across India. These events raise awareness about social issues, promote cultural values, and foster community among students.
National Integration Camp
Many of our students actively participate in National Camps, such as National Integration Camps and Red Cross Camps, engaging in cultural exchange activities that promote national unity. Through workshops and performances, they showcase India’s diverse culture, fostering respect and appreciation.
