Lovely Professional University strongly believes in the fact that monetary constraints should not be an obstacle for a Research Scholar to have access to quality education. So the University offers India’s largest Scholarship scheme. The objective of the scheme is to realize the vast talents that may be hidden due to financial constraints. Under this scheme, Research Scholars have been awarded with scholarship worth ₹ 100+ crores in last year only.

1. On the basis of Performance in LPUNEST (Ph.D.)

The categories of scholarship are based upon performance in LPUNEST (Ph.D.)
The cut-off for each category will be announced along with the result of respective schedule. The scholarship details are as per the following table:

Note: LPU NEST scholarship upto Rs. 2.8 Lac / scholar for 3.5 years duration of the programme subjected to scholarship eligibility.

2. Scholarship On the basis of Competitive Examination

a) UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET Qualified

*The candidates pursuing Ph.D. in full time mode and qualified for award of JRF as per award letter issued by the concerned ministry will be eligible for fellowship as per ministerial/government guidelines. As per the current rates, the JRF scholars are eligible for monthly fellowship of Rs 37,000/- + HRA while the SRF scholars are eligible for monthly fellowship of Rs 42,000/- + HRA.

4. Other Scholarship categories (Only if not getting any scholarship)

Note:

• If candidate qualifies JRF (UGC/CSIR)/NET (LS)/SPM/GATE/GPAT with in 1.5 years of registeration in the Ph.D Programme then he/she is eligible for scholarship on that basis from the immediate next term.
• The Fee will be applicable till the submission of final thesis for the Ph.D. programme.
• The Scholarship for Ph.D. Programme is applicable maximum of upto 3.5 Years from the date of admission.
• The research contingency for consumables will be available for a maximum period of 4 years from the date of admission.
• 20% scholarship is applicable for all female candidates & LPU alumni (male/female), only when candidate is not getting any other scholarship.
• Apart from that following fee needs to be paid:
  • Examination Fee is applicable as per actuals
  • Thesis evaluation charges are Rs.20,000/- at the time of Ph.D. Thesis submission only.
  • CIF charges are applicable in case the services are used only; at subsidised rates.
  • There are no Lab / experimentation charges; if conducted separately for any candidate then it is as per actuals.
  • There are no term evaluation charges; if conducted separately for any candidate then it is as per actuals.
• In case of any dubiety, decision of Head, Centre for Research Degree Programmes will be considered final.
• Applicants claiming JRF shall ensure the following points:
  • Applicant must report to the university for original document verification in time.
  • Applicant must report for the JRF linking process after the admission and eligibility verification is confirmed.
  • All the original documents including 10th, 12th, Graduation, Post Graduation, etc are required for JRF linking.
  • The Coursework Option 1 (Saturday-Sunday) shall be applicable to the JRF Scholars.
  • The JRF applicants are required to adhere as per the rules and regulation of the regulatory body to claim the fellowship.
