What to Bring

Pack the essentials for a comfortable and hassle-free stay at LPU. Use the checklist below to ensure you have everything you need before arriving on campus.

Required Documents

Students are advised to bring both the original documents and one photocopy at the time of reporting to the University campus.
  • Class 10 certificate
  • Class 12 certificate
  • Graduation certificate (if applicable)
  • Character certificate, school leaving certificate, or transfer certificate
  • Entrance test rank card or score card
  • Three passport-size photographs
  • Proof of residence
  • Aadhaar card of the student and parents
  • Self-attested anti-ragging affidavit signed by both the student and parents
  • Income affidavit

Additional Certificates (if applicable)

  • Defence document for scholarship or eligibility
  • Domicile certificate (JK migrant, North-East applicant)
  • Gap certificate
  • Interview result (for MBA and M.A. (English) students)
  • Medical certificate (for Physical Education programmes)
  • Migration certificate (for part-time programmes)
  • No objection certificate (for part-time Ph.D. programmes)
  • PCI undertaking (for M.Pharm. programmes)
  • Reserved category certificate

Additional Documents for International Students

  • Copy of passport
  • Copy of visa
  • Student visa showing the issue and expiry dates
  • FRRO or police verification
  • Health insurance
  • Offer letter
  • Acceptance letter

The University provides a bed, an almirah, a study table, a chair, and either a cooler or an AC (as opted) in the hostel rooms. Students do not need to bring these items.

Essentials

  • Laptop, mobile phone, or other electronic devices
  • Bed sheets
  • Top sheet or light blanket
  • Pillows
  • Bucket, mug, and toiletries
  • Towels
  • Clothing (summer and winter wear)
  • Footwear (formal shoes, slippers, and sports shoes)

Optional

  • Umbrella
  • Detergent
  • Sewing kit
  • First-aid kit
  • Sports kit
  • Ethnic wear

Note:

  • Additional essentials can be purchased from in-house stores such as WHSmith and other general stores located on the University campus.
  • Winter usually begins around October or November. Students are advised to carry warm clothing, blankets, quilts, and other winter essentials accordingly.
  • Students carrying prescription medicines should keep a valid doctor's prescription for reference.
  • Students are advised to bring at least one traditional or ethnic outfit, along with matching accessories or jewellery representing their culture. These may be required for participation in cultural events and other University activities.

The following items are prohibited on the University campus:

  • Refrigerator (permitted only in apartments)
  • Washing machine
  • Oven
  • Immersion rod
  • Induction plate (permitted only in apartments)
  • Electric cooker
