Reporting and Induction Process 2026

To ensure a smooth reporting experience, please complete the required pre-arrival formalities through the LPU Admit portal before arriving on campus. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: Document Upload Guidelines

Keep these important points in mind while preparing and uploading your documents before arriving on campus.

  • Upload scanned copies of your certificates and other required documents through the LPUADMIT Portal (Login → Post Admission Services).
  • Use clear colour scans of original documents. Do not upload scanned photocopies.
  • Ensure each document is in JPEG, PNG, PDF, DOC, or DOCX format and does not exceed 5 MB.
  • Verify that your address and photograph are accurate, as these details will appear on your University ID Card.
  • Request an extension through the admission portal if any required document is unavailable. A confirmation will be sent to your registered email address.
  • Download and save the PDF copy of your admission form and uploaded documents after successful submission.
  • Raise a Form Data Correction request if you notice any discrepancies in your admission form:
    • Log in to the LPUADMIT Portal.
    • Click "Ask Your Query"
    • Select "Form Data Correction"
  • Carry all original documents and certificates in a transparent folder for quick and hassle-free verification during reporting.

Step 2: Book Hostel & Campus Facilities

  • Choose the applicable facilities, such as hostel, mess, laundry, transport, gym, or sports, through the LPUADMIT portal.

Step 3: Clear Pending Fees

  • Ensure any outstanding fee balance is cleared before reporting to campus, so that you can proceed with the next reporting steps without payment-related interruptions.
  • Scholarship details are usually updated within 4–5 working days after the documents are uploaded.
  • If your scholarship details are still not updated after this period, raise a ticket through the admission portal:
    • Log in LPU Admit
    • Click “Ask Your Query”
    • Select “Admission Taken But Scholarship Not Updated”

Step 4: Submit Your Uniform Size Preference

  • Log in to the Admission Portal.
  • Navigate to Post Admission Services → Uniform Size Preference.
  • Select and submit your preferred uniform size.
  • Ensure your submission is completed before reporting to campus.

Step 5: Update Your Travel and Stay Arrangements

  • The University provides a 24-hour complimentary pick-up facility for freshers from the nearby Railway Station and Bus Stand during the Reporting and Induction process.
  • If you wish to avail this facility, ensure your travel plans are finalised before your journey.

Step 6: Reach the Campus

  • Upon reaching the designated pick-up point (Railway Station or Bus Stand), contact the LPU Help Desk for assistance.
  • If you have registered for the complimentary pick-up facility, the Help Desk officials will guide you to the designated shuttle and assist you in reaching the campus reporting venue (Baldev Raj Mittal Unipolis).

Step 1: Report at Unipolis

Start your on-campus reporting at Baldev Raj Mittal Unipolis, where you will be guided through the initial reporting steps.

  • Scan the QR code at the reporting venue to download your Reporting and Induction Sheet. Validate it using the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Collect your Checklist Document from the help desk official. It will guide you through the reporting activities to be completed.
  • Visit the relevant help desk for each activity. The help desk team will assist you and stamp your sheet after each activity is completed.
  • Before moving to the next help desk, make sure your reporting sheet has been stamped.
  • Complete every step of the process, as leaving any step incomplete may lead to your class attendance being blocked.

Step 2: Original Certificate Verification

Keep your original certificates ready, as they will be checked for eligibility verification.

  • Submit any pending documents, if applicable.
  • Present your original certificates for verification.
  • Once your eligibility is verified, make sure your Induction Sheet is stamped.

Step 3: Biometrics Enrolment

Complete your biometrics enrolment and note the details for collecting your University ID card.

  • Get your biometrics recorded.
  • The help desk official will inform you about your ID card collection date and venue.

Step 4: Book Hostel and Campus Facilities

Students are strongly advised to select the required facilities before arriving on campus. However, bookings can be done on campus, subject to availability.

  • Book applicable facilities such as hostel, mess, laundry, transport, gym, or sports, subject to availability.
  • Complete this step only if these facilities were not selected before arrival.

Step 5: Fee Clearance

If you have any pending fee dues, complete the payment before continuing with the remaining reporting activities.

  • Visit the designated fee counter to clear any outstanding dues.
  • Keep your payment receipt or confirmation ready for verification, if required.
  • Once your payment is confirmed, proceed to the next reporting activity.

Step 6: Uniform Collection

Collect your University uniform after completing the fee clearance process.

  • Visit the Uniform Distribution Counter mentioned on the Checklist provided at the time of campus reporting.
  • To avoid delays, ensure your uniform measurements have been submitted through the LPUADMIT Portal (Login → Post Admission Services) before arriving on campus.
  • Keep your Secret Key, shared through UMS My Messages and SMS, ready for verification.
  • Provide the Secret Key to the vendor/help desk official only after receiving your uniform.
  • Collect your uniform as per the measurements submitted on the LPUADMIT Portal.
  • Ensure your Reporting and Induction Sheet is stamped before proceeding to the next activity.

Important: Students who have not submitted their uniform measurements through the LPUADMIT Portal may experience delays in uniform collection.

Step 7: Activate UMS (University Management System)

Complete this step to stay connected with important University updates and access your student services.

  • Install the LPUTouch App from the App Store or Google Play.
  • After document verification, collect your Verification ID to activate your UMS account.
  • Use the app and UMS to access your timetable, notifications, announcements, and other important academic information.

Step 8: Freshmen Induction and Commencement of Classes

Your reporting journey concludes with the induction programme, helping you settle into campus life before your academic sessions begin.

  • Follow your day-wise induction schedule and attend all assigned sessions.
  • Use the induction programme to familiarise yourself with the University's academic processes, facilities, and student services.
  • Start attending classes according to your timetable after completing the induction programme.

Hostel Allocation Process

Once you are marked reported at the campus and all dues are paid, you need to download your Residential Reporting Slip to access Hostel Room.

Step 1: Reporting at Campus

  • To initiate the hostel allocation process, the student must physically report to the campus.

Step 2: Clear Payment Dues

  • Ensure that all payment dues are settled before proceeding with hostel allocation.
  • If you have pending dues, contact the Accounts Help Desk at the reporting venue.

Step 3: Updating Residential Reporting Slip

  • Once dues are paid, the Residential Reporting Slip will be automatically updated (within 15 minutes).

Step 4: Accessing Residential Reporting Slip

  • Log in to the Student UMS (University Management System).
  • Go to Residential Services → Residential facility Booking → View Residential Reporting Slip

Step 5: Presenting Residential Reporting Slip

  • Report to the allocated hostel Warden’s office.
  • Present the Residential Reporting Slip to the warden.
