The LPU Student Council plays a pivotal role in representing and advocating for the student body at Lovely Professional University. It is committed to continuously serving as a voice for the student community and advocating for their needs.

The main purpose/aim of the Student Council/Student Association/Student Body is to serve and act as the effective & efficient communication medium between the students and the administration/management. The Student Councils helps in the planning, executing and development of various interests of the students in the organization which includes social activities, cultural, and recreational, sports and other educational/political/welfare/academic interests of students. The student council provides a wide scope in the contribution of the development of student’s planning, organizing, leadership skills and volunteering for various events. Students of the University also provides their inputs and feedback in terms of governing their academics by participating in different committees and bodies of the University. The council is free to conduct various activities without unnecessary interference by providing necessary guidance as and when required by them.

This approach empowers students to actively engage in the decision-making processes of the university, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility.
LPU has a recognized student union that represents both undergraduate and postgraduate students at university level.

Apart of Student council, University also has many Student organization. The student organizations conducting events on different sustainable development goals (SDGs) to foster the needs of the society and local community which leads to the development of overall skills of the students participating in such events.
