Course Description: This is a Goethe A1 exam-preparation course designed to equip beginners with the language competence and examination techniques required to successfully attempt the Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Start Deutsch 1. The course combines foundational German language instruction with intensive practice of authentic exam-style tasks. Special emphasis is placed on understanding the examination pattern, mastering frequently tested vocabulary and grammar, improving response time, and developing strategies for each of the four examination components. Learning Outcomes: By the end of the course, students will be able to: 1. Identify and apply core A1-level German vocabulary, sentence patterns, grammar, and everyday expressions. 2. Successfully handle Goethe-style tasks in Lesen and Hören using appropriate comprehension and test-taking strategies. 3. Produce basic written and spoken German appropriate to the requirements of the Schreiben and Sprechen modules. 4. Demonstrate exam readiness by completing timed practice tests and applying effective strategies for maximizing performance in the Goethe A1 examination.
