Course Description This 30-hour practical course introduces the fundamentals of wire sculpture. Participants learn wire manipulation techniques, design principles, and construction methods to create figurative, abstract, and mixed-media sculptures while developing creativity and craftsmanship. Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course, learners will be able to: Identify wire types, tools, and safety practices. Apply basic wire manipulation and joining techniques. Create three-dimensional wire sculptures using design principles. Develop original sculptural works with technical skill and creativity. Present and evaluate finished sculptures professionally.

Dr. Dinu Kacharulal Ghata

Assistant Professor

Dr. Dinu Ghata is an Indian sculptor, researcher, and Assistant Professor in LPU Phagwara. specializing in metal repoussé and chasing. He holds a Ph.D in Visual Arts and UGC-NET JRF qualified artist, he has received the Lalit Kala Akademi Research Scholarship and the Ministry of Culture National Scholarship for Young Artists, he also has been awarded in many national competitions. His practice explores the intersection of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary expression, drawing inspiration from cultural memory, materiality, and the lived experiences of artisan communities. Through sculpture and relief works, he reinterprets indigenous techniques within a modern artistic language.
