Objective:

To test participants’ knowledge in engineering concepts while encouraging quick thinking, teamwork, and healthy academic competition.

Description:

This quiz will be conducted in two rounds. The Preliminary Round will be an elimination stage with questions in multiple-choice, true/false, and short-answer formats. The top-scoring teams will move to the Final Round, which will include advanced and mixed-format questions.

Rules:

• Only team entries are allowed; each team must consist of two members.
• Questions may include multiple-choice, true/false, fill-in-the-blank, or short-answer formats.
• Round 1 (Preliminary) – Written format; top teams qualify for finals.
• Round 2 (Final) – Live quiz with buzzer rounds, rapid-fire, and picture/audio-based questions.
• No use of mobile phones, calculators, or reference materials is allowed.
• The quizmaster’s decision will be final and binding.
• Judging Criteria / Winner Determination:
• Cumulative score in the final round.
• In case of a tie, tie-breaker questions will be asked until a winner is determined.

Round 1– The Wire Wizard (Preliminary Round)

Objective:

To evaluate participants’ practical understanding of Ethernet cabling standards and their ability to correctly prepare and test CAT6 Straight-Through and Crossover cables.

Participants will:

• Crimp CAT6 cables using RJ45 connectors following T568A and T568B standards.
• Create both types of cables:
  • Straight-Through Cable – for connecting different devices (e.g., PC ↔ Switch).
  • Crossover Cable – for connecting similar devices (e.g., PC ↔ PC, Switch ↔ Switch).
• Test cable functionality using a LAN cable tester.
• Label each cable clearly with type and name.

Round 2 – Subnet Sprint

Objective:

Assess subnetting and basic configuration skills.

Task:

• Divide a given network (e.g., 192.168.10.0/24) into multiple subnets.
• Assign IPs and configure basic connectivity using routers and switches.
• Verify network using ping and show ip interface brief.

Evaluation Criteria:

• Correct subnet calculation (30%)
• Proper addressing & labeling (30%)
• Successful connectivity (40%)

Round 3 – VLAN Challenge (Intermediate) (Final)

Objective:

Implement and verify inter-VLAN communication.

Task:

• Create 3 VLANs (e.g., Admin, Faculty, Students).
• Assign ports and configure VLAN trunking.
• Implement Inter-VLAN routing on Router-on-a-Stick topology.
• Bonus: Configure DHCP for dynamic IP assignment.

Objective:

To provide students with a platform to design, build, and operate manually controlled robots/drones that can navigate a predefined race track with speed and precision, enhancing their technical, programming, and problem-solving skills.

Description:

Participants will design and assemble a robot capable of completing a race track in the shortest possible time. The track may include turns, obstacles, and checkpoints to test control, stability, and accuracy.

Rules:

• Maximum team size: 3–4 members.
• Dimensions and weight of the bot/drone must comply with competition guidelines.
• The race will be timed, and penalties will be applied for hitting obstacles or missing checkpoints.
• Autonomous bots/drones must operate without manual intervention after the start.
• Any damage to the track or venue will result in disqualification.

Judging Criteria:

• Speed (40%) – Time taken to complete the track.
• Accuracy (30%) – Number of penalties avoided.
• Design & Innovation (20%) – Technical creativity in the build.
• Stability & Control (10%) – Smooth operation without erratic movements.

Objective:

To encourage students to design and develop innovative Arduino-based solutions for real-world problems, fostering skills in embedded systems, coding, and hardware integration.

Event Phases:

• Phase 1 – Proposal Submission:
  • Teams receive a specific theme/problem statement (e.g., home automation, energy management, health monitoring, etc.).
  • Each team must submit a written project proposal (max 500 words) covering:
  • Project concept and its relevance to the theme.
  • Intended functionality.
  • Proposed hardware components.
  • General structure of Arduino code (if planned).
  • Evaluation will be based on innovation, feasibility, and theme relevance.

• Phase 2 – Coding & Demonstration:
  • Teams will develop the project and submit.
  • Complete Arduino code (well-commented and explained).
  • Brief explanation document (300–500 words) describing.
  • Code logic.
  • Component interaction.
  • Project workflow.
  • Demonstration can be.
  • Simulated using Tinkercad (virtual entries).
  • Live using actual Arduino hardware.

Objective:

Description:

Participants will design and develop a website based on a given theme or problem statement (e.g., Smart Campus Portal, Event Registration System, Eco-Friendly Product Showcase). The competition will test creativity, layout design, responsive UI, and basic functionality. Both beginners and experienced coders can participate, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and optionally frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS.

Rules:

• Participants may compete individually or in teams of 2–3.
• Theme/problem statement will be announced at the start of the event.
• Only pre-approved development tools, editors, and libraries may be used.
• Websites must be responsive and should work on desktop and mobile views.
• Submissions will be judged based on design, functionality, and adherence to the theme.
• Use of AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) is allowed but must be disclosed.

Objective:

To engage students in a competitive and collaborative gaming environment that enhances strategic thinking, teamwork, and quick decision-making skills while promoting a healthy gaming culture on campus.

Description:

Participants will compete in popular multiplayer PC games over a Local Area Network (LAN). The competition will be conducted in knockout or league format, depending on the number of teams. Game titles will be pre-decided (e.g., Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Valorant, DOTA 2, Rocket League, etc.). The focus will be on strategy, coordination, and performance under pressure.

Rules:

• Team size will depend on the selected game (e.g., 5v5 for CS:GO, 3v3 for Rocket League).
• All matches will be played on provided gaming systems or participants’ systems connected via LAN.
• Cheating, hacking, or exploiting glitches will result in immediate disqualification.
• Time limits and match rules will be as per the standard e-sports regulations of the chosen games.
• Teams must report to their match stations at least 10 minutes before the scheduled start.

Judging Criteria / Winner Determination:

• Match victories (knockout/league points).
• Tie-breakers decided by score difference or additional match rounds.
