Terms and Conditions

Declaration, Undertaking & Terms of Participation

Applies to all students, parents and mentors registering in the Bharat Innovation Challenge 2.0

By participating in the Stage 1 and at Grand Finale, the team (students, parents, mentors) confirms they have read, understood and unconditionally agreed to all Rules, Regulations, and Terms set forth here for Bharat Innovation Challenge Season 2, organised & hosted by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab.

This declaration is legally binding. Non-compliance may result in disqualification, withdrawal of privileges or removal from campus.

Submission is Final

Once submitted, the presentation cannot be edited, replaced, or withdrawn during evaluation. Shortlisted teams must confirm participation, and withdrawal after confirmation forfeits the team's slot.

Originality & Fair Use

Projects, ideas, and presentations must be original. Plagiarism, false claims, copied work, or AI-generated presentations without genuine innovation will result in immediate and permanent disqualification. The core idea cannot be changed after submission; only refinements are permitted.

Team Composition

Each team must consist of 1–5 students and one mentor. Any change in team members or mentor requires prior approval from the Organising Committee. A parent may act as mentor only with official school validation.

Submission Format

Only PPT or PDF submissions (maximum 15 slides) following the prescribed file naming convention will be accepted. Non-compliant submissions may be rejected without review.

Confirmation & Shortlisting

Selection for the Grand Finale is based on Stage 1 evaluation. Participation is confirmed only after acceptance by the Organising Committee.

Travel

Complimentary pick-up and drop are available only from designated locations (Amritsar Airport, Jalandhar Junction, and Phagwara Railway Station). Travel to these pickup points and any additional expenses are the participant's responsibility. No travel reimbursement will be provided.

Accommodation & Meals

Complimentary accommodation and meals are provided only for registered students and one mentor per team during the Grand Finale. Separate hostel arrangements for boys and girls are mandatory. Parents and guardians must arrange their own stay, meals, and transportation.

Identity Verification

A valid School ID and Government Photo ID (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport) are mandatory throughout the event. Official BIC ID cards must be worn on campus. Entry may be denied without valid identification.

Dress Code

School uniform or formal attire is mandatory during all official sessions. Casual wear, ripped jeans, shorts, slippers and flip-flops are not permitted.

Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to maintain professional behaviour throughout the competition. Harassment, bullying, discrimination, misconduct, or any inappropriate behaviour will lead to immediate disqualification and removal from the event.

Strictly Prohibited

Alcohol, tobacco, narcotics, weapons, fireworks, tampering with equipment, recording jury deliberations or attempting any unfair practice is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action, disqualification, and forfeiture of prizes.

Jury Decisions

All jury decisions are final and binding. No appeals, negotiations or requests for re-evaluation will be entertained. Any attempt to influence the judging process will result in immediate disqualification.

Attendance

Attendance at all official sessions, mentor interactions, exhibition hours, judging rounds, and the Award Ceremony is compulsory. Late reporting or absence may affect evaluation or lead to disqualification.

Medical Declaration

Participants must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions before arrival. Basic first aid will be available on campus; hospitalization and related medical expenses remain the participant's responsibility.

Media Consent

By participating, teams grant LPU and Bharat Innovation Challenge permission to use project details, photographs, videos, names, and event content for promotional, educational, and media purposes without additional consent or compensation. Teams retain ownership of their intellectual property unless otherwise stated.

Liability

Participants attend the event at their own risk. LPU and Bharat Innovation Challenge shall not be responsible for injuries, travel delays, loss or damage of personal belongings, technical failures, project materials, or cancellations arising from unforeseen circumstances or force majeure.

Prize Disbursement

Prize money will be transferred directly to the winner's bank account after successful document verification. Winners must submit valid bank details, PAN, and passbook copy. Applicable TDS and statutory taxes will be deducted as per Government of India regulations. Minor winners or participants without a bank account may receive the prize through a parent or guardian with valid authorization.
