Course Description

CO1: Recall and define fundamental concepts of CNC machines, including types, components, coordinate systems, and G & M codes. CO2: Understand and explain CNC programming principles, program structure, and coordinate systems. CO3: Apply CNC programming knowledge to develop and execute basic programs for machining operations such as linear and circular movements. CO4: Analyze CNC programs to identify errors, inefficiencies, and toolpath issues using simulation tools like Swansoft. CO5: Evaluate CNC programs and machining processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and performance through optimization techniques. CO6: Create complete CNC programs and CAM-based toolpaths using Siemens NX CAM for manufacturing components, including simulation and post-processing.
