The collaborative effort between the School of Law and LPU-NSS of Lovely Professional University resulted in a highly impactful legal aid camp conducted at Kapurthala, on April 2023 focusing on students from the primary and secondary sections of a nearby school. The primary objective of this camp was to enlighten the young students about their legal rights and raise awareness about the critical concepts of good touch and bad touch. Esteemed legal experts led the event, sharing their expertise and providing valuable insights into essential rights, such as the right to information, education, equality, and suffrage. By empowering the students with knowledge and fostering a sense of legal awareness, the camp aimed to equip them with the tools to make informed decisions and protect themselves.

This significant initiative aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals, including SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 5 (Gender Equality), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions). Through education on legal rights and concepts related to personal safety, the camp contributes to SDG 4's objective of ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education. Moreover, by promoting awareness about good touch and bad touch, it aligns with SDG 5's mission to eliminate violence and discrimination against women and children.
