AIDS awareness rally in Adopted village

The AIDS Awareness Rally organized by Lovely Professional University's National Service Scheme (LPU-NSS) on 8th November 2024 in NSS-adopted village Meheru was an impactful event aimed at educating the community about HIV/AIDS prevention and the importance of health awareness. Conducted in collaboration with the local communities, the rally sought to dispel myths surrounding HIV/AIDS and encourage safe practices, highlighting LPU’s commitment to social responsibility and health education. 225 NSS volunteer participated in the rally.

Sanitary Pad Distribution Drive at Adopted villages

On 11th October 2024, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Lovely Professional University organized a Sanitary Pad Distribution Drive at Village Chachowal, one of its adopted villages. A total of 98 volunteers and participants took part in the initiative aimed at promoting menstrual hygiene and ensuring access to essential sanitary products for women and girls. Volunteers also conducted awareness sessions on safe hygiene practices and proper disposal methods. The drive emphasized the importance of health, dignity, and confidence among women. Through this effort, LPU reaffirmed its commitment to women’s well-being and community welfare.

The People's Walk against Drugs -Awareness Drive

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Lovely Professional University organized The People’s Walk Against Drugs on 10th and 11th December 2024 in the regions of Jalandhar and Beas. A total of 80 volunteers participated in this awareness initiative aimed at educating the community about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promoting a drug-free lifestyle. The walk provided a platform for volunteers to interact with locals, spreading messages of health, responsibility, and social harmony. Through this impactful outreach, LPU reaffirmed its commitment to building a healthier and drug-free society.

Blood Donation Camp at Maa Baglamukhi Mandir Dham Ludhiana

The Blood Donation Camp organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Lovely Professional University on 7th and 8th February 2024 at Maa Baglamukhi Mandir Dham, Ludhiana, was a remarkable initiative aimed at promoting the spirit of humanity and social responsibility. A total of 20 NSS volunteers actively participated in the drive, motivating community members to contribute towards saving lives through blood donation. The event emphasized the importance of voluntary blood donation as a noble act that strengthens the bond of compassion within society.

Louis Braille Event for Blind Person at Jalandhar

The Louis Braille Event organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Lovely Professional University from 7th to 11th November 2024 in Jalandhar was a thoughtful initiative dedicated to honoring the legacy of Louis Braille and supporting the visually impaired community. A total of 17 volunteers participated in the event, which aimed to promote inclusivity, accessibility, and awareness about visual impairment. Through engaging activities and awareness sessions, volunteers highlighted the importance of empathy and equal opportunities for the visually challenged. The event reinforced LPU’s commitment to creating a compassionate and inclusive society that values the dignity and potential of every individual.

NARI – Her Right Her Pride - NSS Project

Project organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Lovely Professional University on 26th October 2024 in Phagwara aimed to empower women and promote gender equality. A total of 18 volunteers actively participated in this initiative, which focused on raising awareness about women’s rights, health, safety, and social inclusion. The event encouraged discussions on gender sensitization and women’s empowerment as essential elements of national progress. Through this impactful outreach, LPU-NSS reinforced its dedication to building an equitable society where women are respected, supported, and empowered to achieve their full potential.

Physiotherapy Camp at Phagwara

On 27th April 2024, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Lovely Professional University organized a Physiotherapy Camp in Phagwara as a significant community health outreach initiative. A total of 40 volunteers actively participated, providing essential physiotherapy services and raising awareness about physical well-being. The camp focused on rehabilitation, preventive healthcare, and promoting healthy lifestyle practices among the local population. It also offered LPU student volunteers hands-on experience in healthcare delivery and community engagement. Through this initiative, LPU-NSS reinforced its commitment to improving community health and fostering social responsibility.

Physiotherapy Camp at Chachowal

The Physiotherapy Camp organized by LPU-NSS on 26th October 2024 in Chachowal was a community health initiative aimed at offering physical rehabilitation services and spreading awareness about musculoskeletal health. The camp focused on delivering basic physiotherapy consultations to the rural population and educating them about posture, mobility, and pain management. A total of 22 NSS volunteers, including students with a background in physiotherapy and health sciences, actively participated in organizing and executing the camp. Their service reflected dedication to health awareness and community welfare.

Medical Camp at Maheru

The Medical Camp organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Lovely Professional University on 28th April 2024 at Maheru was an important community health initiative focused on providing primary medical services and spreading health awareness. A total of 16 volunteer participated in the camp, assisting in delivering essential healthcare support to the local population. The initiative aimed to reach underserved communities, ensuring access to basic health check-ups and medical guidance. Through this effort, LPU-NSS demonstrated its dedication to promoting community well-being and fostering a culture of care and social responsibility.

Blood Donation Camp on 17th and 18th September 2024

On 17th and 18th September 2024, the National Service Scheme (NSS) units of Lovely Professional University — Aahvaan, Prerna, Srijan, Yogdaan, and Samarthya — jointly organized the “Save Life: Blood Donation Camp” in collaboration with NIFAA Punjab (National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists). Supported by the Division of Youth Affairs, Student Welfare Wing, LPU. 33 Volunteers The camp aimed to encourage voluntary blood donation and instill a spirit of compassion, responsibility, and service among students. Through this initiative, LPU-NSS promoted the value of saving lives and contributing to society’s welfare through collective effort and empathy.

On 16th February 2024, the NSS units of Lovely Professional University organized a remarkable blood donation drive. A total of 260 participants generously donated blood, coming together to support the noble cause of saving lives. This initiative showcased the spirit of unity, compassion, and collective goodwill within the LPU community, reinforcing the values of service and humanity.

Feeding Bellies Food Donation Drive Phagwara

The LPU - NSS, under the Division of Youth Affairs, Student Welfare Wing at Lovely Professional University, organized the Feeding Bellies Food Donation Drive on 16 October 2024. 25 Volunteers enthusiastically participated in the drive. This impactful initiative aimed to address hunger and nutrition issues within the local community, particularly among those facing food insecurity. The drive was part of LPU's broader commitment to fostering social responsibility and encouraging students to make meaningful contributions to society. 29 Volunteers participated in the event.

Feeding bellies – Food Donation Drives to the Local Community

The Feeding Bellies NSS Project organized on 19th October 2024 in Phagwara by LPU-NSS was a compassionate endeavour aimed at supporting underprivileged sections of the community through the distribution of food. 11 Volunteers of LPU-NSS participated and showed their elegance towards community service by donating food for the needy. The project addressed the issues of hunger and food insecurity, underlining the importance of food as a basic human right and promoting a sense of unity and care.

Family Planning Awareness Rally on International Family Planning Day

On 26th Sep 2024 on the occasion of International Family Planning Day ․LPU-NSS organized a family planning awareness rally near Ramamandi Bus stop. The event aimed to educate the community about the importance of family planning. 25 enthusiastic volunteers actively participated in the drive. They distributed informative pamphlets and engaged with the public. The rally successfully raised awareness and encouraged responsible family planning practices.

Physiotherapy Camp at Village Mehtan

The Physiotherapy Camp organized by Lovely Professional University's National Service Scheme (LPU-NSS) on 20th April 2024 at Mehtan was a compassionate initiative focused on enhancing public health through physiotherapy services. 18 Volunteers participated in the event. The camp was aimed at offering professional physiotherapy care to the local community while fostering a sense of service among student volunteers.

10th Divyang Indian Cricket League

On 13th to 17th November 2024, Lovely Professional University hosted the 10th Divyang Indian Cricket League at the LPU Playgrounds, near Boys’ Hostel 1. The event was organized by the Division of Sports, Student Welfare Wing and witnessed the participation of 145 athletes. The league was graced by Dr. Aman Mittal, Vice President of LPU, Dr. Lovi Raj Gupta, Pro Vice Chancellor of LPU, and Dr. Sorabh Lakhanpal, Professor and Senior Dean, LPU, as eminent guests. This inclusive sporting event provided a platform for differently-abled athletes to showcase their talent, promote sportsmanship, and encourage competitive spirit.
