Flood relief camp RAHAT
Student Organization "Aashray" under the aegis of Division of Student Welfare, Lovely Professional University Successfully Organized a Flood Relief Camp - Raahat.
In this camp team distributed Clothes, Food items, Shoes, Sanitary Pads and many other necessities to the people living in the flood affected areas of Lohian Khas and nearby villages. Students of the University also contributed to a huge extent to provide relief to the needy people. The smiles on their faces were enough to keep us going and serving the society.
Aashray Army Rahat Flood Relief Team visited in Motihari district of Bihar to help villagers having 50 families who were affected by flood.
The following relief items were distributed to the needies: 200kgs Rice,50kgs Daal ,50 kgs Wheat,51 packet Salt(1kg/packet),100 pieces Biscuits for children’s,100 pieces Namkeen for children.
In one family there are 6-7 people, so 300+ people were helped during the camp.
In another contribution toward the wellbeing of the needy people LPU volunteers comes at the front to tackle the flood, Calamity. For the affected state Assam and Bihar situation is worse. For this reason, being team ‘Pahal’ brings you an innovative event, "Sacred Games", a collection if multiple competitions where the registration fee is, donation for flood relief for those affected areas of our country.
We all are aware how Punjab was recently affected by heavy Floods due to overflowing of River Satluj. In this crisis, LPU students from the student organization 'Aashray - Crossroads Helping Hands' came together and organized a Flood Relief Campaign in the outskirts of Jalandhar.
