Lovely Professional University's National Service Scheme (LPU-NSS) conducts a remarkable 7-day special camp in regular interval in various parts of the country.
The volunteers engaged in various impactful activities and actively participated in cleanliness drives, collecting trash and sweeping streets to promote a cleaner environment. They also contributed to environmental conservation by planting trees in the village. The camp fostered a sense of sportsmanship and skill development through exciting sports tournaments. Additionally, diverse cultural performances celebrated the nation's rich heritage, promoting cultural preservation. The initiative aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 15 (Life on Land). Day 2: Team Activities under Gyandeep
The second day focused on team activities under the Gyandeep project, with the morning dedicated to raising awareness about computers among underprivileged students. This emphasized on empowering students with computer literacy, opening doors to knowledge and skills that are essential in today's digital age.
Day 3: Joyful Giving and Feeding Bellies
The morning of Day 3 revolved around Joy of Giving projects within the community, where participants actively participate in initiatives aimed at spreading joy and feeding bellies and making a positive impact. Volunteers worked together to provide meals to those in need.
Day 4: Team Activities - Drug Awareness Rally
Day 4 begun with a significant commitment to community well-being as participants engaged in a drug awareness rally in the village. This rally is dedicated to promoting awareness and education on the dangers of substance abuse, addressing a critical issue within the community.
Day 5: Environmental Stewardship and Plantation
The morning of Day 5 took a green turn with a village tree plantation initiative, symbolizing a commitment to environmental stewardship. Volunteers actively contributed to planting trees, promoting ecological sustainability, and enhancing the natural beauty of the village
Day 6: Excursion to Sonalika: International Tractors Limited, Hoshiarpur, Punjab
Day 6 was a day of exploration as participants embark on a full-day excursion to Sonalika in Hoshiarpur. This excursion provided a unique opportunity to explore the venue and gain insights into the local industry
Day 7: Closing Ceremony and Celebration
The camp culminated in a closing ceremony that served as a moment of acknowledgment, appreciation, and celebration. Awards are presented to recognize individual and collective efforts

LPU NSS organised a Seven Day Special Summer Camp in Pilahi, Kapurthala, Punjab from 11th June, 2023 to 17th June, 2023 aimed to shape individuals with both academic excellence and a strong sense of social responsibility, with 60 students from diverse backgrounds, these camps inspire enthusiasm and commitment to impactful community engagement.
