Nurturing of Students

(a) Career Guidance & Counselling sessions both in schools and in LPU campus:
The students from class 9 to 10+2 are made aware of the career options available through counselling sessions with vast inputs from experts. The schools may ask for sessions at LPU or these sessions can also be conducted in the respective school depending upon the participation and other facilities.

(b) Career Assessment Tests (CAT):
Career selection is facilitated with on-line psychometric testing and analysis of reports on the ability, capacity and interest of each individual student. Psychometric testing aims to measure a comprehensive prole of a student's natural abilities, inborn talents and personality traits. The prole of the student is then mapped with several lucrative careers and the best careers are suggested to the student along with the road-map for those careers. (c) Lab Sessions:
LPU offers to train students in the specialised lab facility at LPU campus to build their capacity and help them polish their talents & skills by facilitating practical training on topics like: Robotics, DNA Extraction, Electrical Technology, Horticulture, Bakery and Confectionary, Geo Spatial Technology etc. The practical training will be implemented by highly experienced faculty of university having vast industry experience.

(d) Workshops on Skill Development:
Skill oriented workshops are organised keeping in view the pedagogical and professional interest-based requirements of the students. (e) SMIA Biometric Assessment:
A special technique known as Dermatoglyphics is employed for this purpose. It is a unique & scientic method developed out of the study of ngerprint patterns analysis. It helps to reveal various traits of an individual like Intrinsic potential, multiple intelligence distribution, preferred learning style, learning communication character, innate abilities, psychological and planning capability, learning sensitivity etc. Afliated by ITC (International Test Commission), the assessment tools have proved to be easy to use, reasonably priced and effective.

Development of Professionals

Seminars and workshops on topics of educational relevance like Communication Skills, eLearning, Soft Skills, Educational Leadership, Higher Order Thinking Skills, Security of Online Social Network, Creativity and Innovation, Instrumental Techniques and fun mathematics, Entrepreneurship, Problem solving and Decision Making etc. have been regularly conducted. LPU Website is one of the most visited website amongst educational institutes and universities. There is a dedicated team of professionals which works for the development of our website. The same team will work on developing school's website and will also provide manoeuvring support.

(c) Lab Setups:
Schools and Boards are now offering a variety of vocational and add –on courses like Mass Media, Geospatial Practices, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Financial Markets, Agriculture, Food Production and many others, to give their students an enriching experience of various upcoming domains. Many of the courses require specialised labs to support class room teaching.
