Reporting and Induction Process 2024

To ensure a smooth onboarding process, students are required to initiate the reporting process before arriving at the university campus. Please follow the steps below on the "LPU Admit" portal at https://admission.lpu.in

Before Arrival at Campus

Step 1: Document Uploading

  • Visit the LPUADMIT portal and upload scanned images of your certificates and documents.
  • Use only colored images obtained directly from the original documents (do not scan photocopies).
  • Supported formats include JPEG, PNG, PDF, DOC, and DOCX.
  • Each scanned document should not exceed 5 MB in size.
  • Ensure that your address and photograph are accurate. These details will be printed on your University ID Card.
  • If any document is unavailable, you can request an extension for the submission deadline.
  • Check your registered email for confirmation of the extension request.
  • Download the PDF file containing your admission form and the documents you’ve submitted the LPUADMIT Portal.
  • If you notice any discrepancies in the admission form, raise a ticket through the Admit Portal:
  • Bring the original documents/certificates with you to the campus for verification.

Step 2: Book Hostel / Transport Facility

  • Choose from available options such as Hostel, Mess, Laundry, Transport, Gym, or Sports facilities.
  • For more information about residential facilities, refer to the relevant section.

Step 3: Fee Clearance

  • Ensure that any outstanding fee balance is settled before reporting to the campus.
  • Your scholarship will be updated within 4-5 working days after uploading your documents.
  • If your scholarship information has not been updated even after five days, raise a ticket through your admission portal:
    • Log in to https://admission.lpu.in
    • Click “Ask Your Query.”
    • Select “Admission Taken But Scholarship Not Updated.”

Step 4: Update Your Travel and Stay Arrangements

  • During the Reporting and Induction Process, the University provides a 24-hour free pick-up facility for freshmen students from nearby Railway Station and Bus Stand.
  • Accompanying parents are also eligible for free Guest Room accommodation.
  • To avail these facilities, please register at this link (click here).

Step 5: Report at the Campus

  • Once you reach the nearest pick up point (Railway Station/Bus Stand), reach out to LPU Help Desk.
  • If you have registered for the free pick-up facility, the help desk official will help you in boarding and dropping you to the campus reporting venue (Uni-Polis).

On Arrival at Campus

Step 1: Reporting at “Baldev Raj Mittal Unipolis”

  • At the reporting venue, you’ll find different sections and help desks.
  • Each help desk will assist you in completing specific tasks.
  • Upon reaching Uni-polis Reporting Venue, scan the QR Code to download the Reporting and Induction sheet (validate using an OTP on your registered mobile number).
  • Obtain your Checklist Document from the Helpdesk Official. It provides guidance on the activities to be completed.
  • For each activity, there is a separate section and help desk. They will assist you in completing the activity and stamp your sheet once activity is complete.
  • Before moving to the next help desk section, make sure your reporting sheet is stamped. Leaving any step in-complete, may lead to blocking of your class attendance.
  • After completing the necessary tasks, proceed to the next help desk.

Step 2: Biometrics Enrolment

  • Get your biometrics recorded.
  • Help Desk official will update you about your ID card collection date and venue.

Step 3: Verification from Original Certificates

  • If you have any pending documents, submit them during this step.
  • Present your original certificates for verification.
  • Once your eligibility is verified, your Induction Sheet will be stamped.
  • Move to the next help desk after completing this step.

Step 4: Booking Hostel/Mess/Laundry/Transport

  • While we strongly recommend availing necessary facilities before arriving on campus, you can still do so at the campus if needed.
  • Based on availability, book facilities such as Hostel, Mess, Laundry, Transport, Gym, or Sports facilities.

Step 5: Fee Clearance

  • Ensure that any outstanding fee balance is settled.
  • Move to the next help desk after completing the payment.

Step 6: Access University Management System (UMS)

  • Install the LPU Touch app from the App Store or Play Store on your mobile device.
  • Use the app to stay updated on routine notifications, including your class timetable, announcements, and other important information.
  • Post Verification of documents, you will get your Verification Id, which is required for accessing the UMS.
  • Proceed to the next help desk.

Step 7: Freshmen Induction and Start of Classes

  • Check your day-wise reporting and induction schedule.
  • Read and understand the instructions provided on the Induction and Reporting Sheet.
  • During the scheduled sessions, you’ll receive updates about the next steps.
  • Participate in the induction session as per the schedule mentioned on your induction sheet.
  • The induction session will help you acclimate better to university life.

Class Attendance:Attend classes according to your timetable.

Hostel Allocation Process

Once you are marked reported at the campus and all dues are paid, you need to download your Residential Reporting Slip to access Hostel Room.

Step 1: Reporting at Campus

  • To initiate the hostel allocation process, the student must physically report to the campus.

Step 2: Clear Payment Dues

  • Ensure that all payment dues are settled before proceeding with hostel allocation.
  • If you have pending dues, contact the Accounts Help Desk at the reporting venue.

Step 3: Updating Residential Reporting Slip

  • Once dues are paid, the Residential Reporting Slip will be automatically updated (within 15 minutes).

Step 4: Accessing Residential Reporting Slip

  • Log in to the Student UMS (University Management System).
  • Go to Residential Services → Residential facility Booking → View Residential Reporting Slip

Step 5: Presenting Residential Reporting Slip

  • Report to the allocated hostel Warden’s office.
  • Present the Residential Reporting Slip to the warden.
