Objective of Scholarship
The objective of Post Matric Scholarship Scheme is to provide financial assistance to SC /OBC students studying at Post Matriculation or Post Secondary stage to enable them to complete the education. In this scheme, all the students who are pursuing their studies through regular courses and correspondence courses are eligible for this scheme.
Eligibility Conditions
  • Students belongs to Punjab under category SC and OBC are eligible for Post Matric Scholarship, Punjab.
  • In case of SC students, parents/guardians family income from all sources does not exceed Rs. 2, 50,000/- (Rupee two lakh, fifty thousand only) per annum.
  • In case of OBC students, the parents / guardians family income from all sources does not exceed Rs 1, 00,000/- (Rupees one lakh ) per annum.
  • Maintenance Allowance will be credited directly to the student’s bank account by the Welfare office, Chandigarh.
  • A scholarship holder under this scheme will not hold any other scholarship/stipend.
  • Students who pursue their studies through correspondence courses are also eligible. The term correspondence includes distant and continuing education.
  • Student must be regular to his/her studies.
  • Student must maintained minimum attendance as per university policy i.e. 75% attendance per semester in case of regular programmes. Moreover, the Biometric attendance is also compulsory for all the students.
  • OBC students must secure minimum 60% marks in last exam passed in case of fresh as well as renewal of scholarship.
  • In case student left the university in between or starts of the session he/she has to inform to the university for cancellation of their PMS scholarship.
  • Student should be permanent resident of Punjab.
  • Aadhar card is must for applying Post Matric Scholarship, Punjab.
  • Aadhar card of the student must be seeded with Bank account number of the student as mentioned on scholarship form.

Objective of Scholarship

Objective of Scholarship
The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to 1000 SC/ST candidates to pursue postgraduate level studies in Professional subjects at recognized Indian Universities/Institutions/Colleges.
  • The candidate must have obtained Graduate degree in the relevant subject and obtained admission at Postgraduate level for regular full time course in any of the Professional subject in a recognized University/Institution/College.
  • .Candidates pursuing post graduate course in professional subjects by correspondence or by Distance Education mode are not eligible to receive financial assistance under this scheme.
  • The upper age limit for male applicants is 45 years as on 1st July on the year of application, and 50 years in the case of female candidates. In exceptional cases, the age may be relaxed.
  • The number of slots available under the scheme are 1000 per year. The tenure of award is for two/three years depending upon tenure of the postgraduate course.
  • The financial assistance available under the scheme is as under:-
    • Scholarship - Rs.7,800/- per month (ME/M.Tech)
    • Rs.4,700/- per month for other courses.
    • Contingency A - Rs.15,000/- per annum(ME/M.Tech)
    • Rs.10,000/- per annum for other courses.

Objective of Scholarship
The scheme caters total number of 200 Fellowship [Junior Research Fellows (JRF)] per year to students with disabilities. The scheme covers all universities/ institutions recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and Non-Universities/ Institutions and is implemented by the UGC itself on the pattern of the scheme of UGC Fellowship being awarded to research students pursuing M.Phil. and Ph.D. These fellowships will be available to students with disabilities who are covered under. The Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995. Thus, a person with disability who wishes to avail the benefit under the Act has to obtain a disability certificate from the medical authority notified for the purpose
Eligibility Conditions
  • Any student with disabilities who is already registered to M.Phil./Ph.D. degree in a University or academic institution by completing the required formalities for admission in that University or academic institution is eligible for the award of Fellowship, subject to provision of the scheme as per the advertisement of UGC. The candidate must get himself/herself registered for M.Phil/Ph.D at the first available opportunity but not later than within a period of two years from the receipt of award letter. This period is not extendable. However, the actual payment of fellowship will be made with effect from the date of joining only. 
  • After two years, if the progress in the research works of the awardee is found satisfactory, his/her tenure will be extended for a further period of three years as Senior Research Fellowship (SRF). The research work will be assessed by a three member committee set up by the University. The committee will consist of the Supervisor, Head of the Department and one outside expert in the subject. JRF may be terminated in case the progress of the candidate is not found satisfactory by the committee. The SRF shall be sanctioned on year to year basis on the recommendation of the Supervisor of the candidate duly accepted/rejected by the Head of the Department and finally approved by the Vice-Chancellor. The total period of award of JRF and SRF shall not exceed a period of five years. The fellowship is paid from the date of registration of the students in M.Phil./Ph.D. course. 
  • The students with disabilities once considered eligible for the fellowship shall not be entitled to any other benefits from Central or State Government or any other body like UGC offering similar benefit to avoid duplication and increase coverage. Only those doing regular and full time M.Phil./Ph.D. course of a University/Research Institution shall be eligible for the fellowship. Employees of any University/College/Educational Institution/Central/State/UT Government shall be excluded from availing Fellowship, even if they are on Study Leave or EOL to pursue the M.Phil./Ph.D. course.

The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to Schedule tribes students of Arunachal Pradesh so as to enable them to pursue various courses of Higher studies approved by Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

The Scheme provides financial assistance to the Schedule caste / Scheduled Tribe students studying at post matriculation or postsecondary stage.

  • Students who have received coaching in any of the pre-examination training centers with financial assistance from the Government will not be eligible.

Objective of Scholarship
The scholarship is awarded to meritorious and deserving Bhutanese students who are studying in various recognized institutes/colleges in India on self financed basis.
Eligibility Conditions
  • Students can apply directly to the Embassy in the prescribed application form which can be downloaded from the Embassy’s website. Prior to submission, the forms have to be counter-signed by the Head of the College/Institute where the applicants are studying.
  • The selected candidates are requested to provide a Bonafide Certificate from their college/Institute along with the College/Personal bank account details.
  • The scholarship amount will be transferred into the College/Personal Bank account through NEFT. Objective of Scholarship
The objective of the scheme is to award scholarships to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education, increase their rate of attainment in higher education and enhance their employability
Eligibility Conditions
  • Scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
  • The annual income of whose parents/guardian from all sources does not exceed Rs.2.00 lakh.
  • The award will be discontinued if a student fails to secure 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination. Scholarship will not be awarded for more than the normal period of time taken to obtain Certificate/Degree/M. Phil Degree/Doctorate Degree.
  • Scholarships will not be given to more than two students in a family.
  • The students should be regular in attendance for which the yardstick will be decided by the competent authority of the school/college/university.
  • If a student is found to have obtained a scholarship by false statement/certificates, his/her scholarship will be cancelled forthwith and the amount of the scholarship paid shall be recovered, at the discretion of the concerned State Government/Union Territory Administration.

Objective of Scholarship
The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from poor families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies.
Eligibility Conditions
  • The scholarships are awarded on the basis of the results of senior secondary examination. 82000 fresh scholarships per annum (41000 for boys and 41000 for girls) for graduate/post-graduate studies in colleges and universities and for professional courses, such as Medical, Engineering, etc. could be provided.
  • Students who are above 80th percentile of primaryful candidates in the relevant stream for a particular Board of Examination, in class XII of 10+2 pattern or equivalent.
  • The annual family income of parents should be less than Rs.6 lakhs per annum.

Eligibility Conditions
  • A person with disability having not less than 40% disability and having a disability certificate issued by any competent medical authority.
  • Scholarship under this scheme shall not be admissible for pursuing distance-learning/part time/week-end courses under any stream.
  • The candidate is not receiving any other scholarship under any scheme of the Government of India.
  • Having selected and got admission in any of the notified institutions for pursuing a full-time course at the level of Post Graduate Degree/Diploma according to the norms prescribed by the respective institution.
  • Total income from all sources of the candidate and/or his/her parents/guardians, shall not exceed Rs. 6,00,000/- (Rupees six lakh only) per annum.
  • - Not more than two disabled children of the same parents/guardians will be eligible and to this effect a self-certification will be required from the candidate. Provided, more than two children of the same parents can be allowed in case the second/third children are twins.

  • The students having less than 40% disability (Certified by competent medical authority of the state Governments/UTs.) are not eligible.
  • Not more than two disabled children of the same parents will be entitled to receive benefits of the scheme. Provided in case the second child is a twin, the scholarship under this scheme will be admissible to both the twins.
  • Scholarship for studying in any class will be available for only one year. If a student has to repeat a class, she / he would not get scholarship for that class for a second (or subsequent) year.
  • A scholarship holder under this scheme will not hold any other scholarship/stipend. If awarded any other scholarship/stipend, the student can exercise his/her option for either of the two scholarships/stipends, whichever is more beneficial to him/her and should inform the awarding authority through the Head of the Institution about the option made.
  • Total income from all sources of the candidate and/or his/her parents/guardians shall not exceed Rs. 250000/- p.a.

Objective of Scholarship
The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial assistance to the differently abled students to enable them to pursue professional or technical courses from recognized institutes and get employed/self-employed.
Eligibility Conditions
  • Financial assistance will be given to pursue degree and/or post graduate level technical and professional courses from a recognized institution. Maintenance, book/stationary allowance and grant for purchase of assistive devices will be credited to the student’s account. Nonrefundable fees shall be reimbursed to the student on production of proof of deposit of fees or will be paid directly to the Institute under intimation to the student.
  • Scholarship will be awarded for only one course at a time.
  • The annual income of the beneficiary/parent or guardian of beneficiary should not exceed Rs.3.00 lakh from all sources. However, preference shall be given to economically weaker students.
  • A scholarship holder under this Scheme will not avail any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the course.

Eligibility Conditions
  • Graduate & Post Graduate Course Students are eligible for this scholarship-- General category (Boys & Girls), Physical handicap & Widows Students - Students must have Minimum 70% Marks (Boys) / 65% marks (Girls) in Previous Examination.
  • 2. Diploma Course Students
    • Diploma (Girls & Boys) - Students must have minimum 60% marks (Boys) / 50% marks (Girls) in Previous Examination
  • 3. Engineering & Medicine Course Students
    • Graduate Engineering (Boys & Girls) - Students must have Minimum 70% marks (Boys) / 65% Marks for (Girls) in Previous Exam.
    • PG Engineering & medicine Course (Boys & Girls) - Students must have Minimum 70% marks (Boys) / 65% marks (Girls) in Previous Exam.
    • Maximum age limit is 30 for apply this scholarship.
    • Minimum 1 year course candidates can apply for Scholarship.
    • Students should not get any Other Stipend / Scholarship.
    • A student applies for only 1 course scholarship in the duration of course.
    • Family annual income not more than 4 lac.

Objective of Scholarship
JM Sethia Trust Offers the scholarship to the students on the basis of their academic performance. There is no application fee for the students and 20 % of the seats in JM Sethia Trust merit Scholarship are reserved for students belonging to economically weaker sections of society, handicapped students who are involved in extracurricular activities.
Eligibility Conditions
  • The students should have passed qualifying in current year (in first attempt) only.
  • Only full time students are eligible for this scholarship.
  • The students must have cleared the qualifying exam in first attempt.
  • The candidates are getting scholarship from any other source are not eligible for this scholarship.
  • After selection students have to submit continuing certificate quarterly duly signed from head of institution.

Objective of Scholarship
Sahu Jain Trust was founded by Smt. Rama Jain and Sahu Shanti Prasad Jain and offers Inland & Loan Scholarships to needy & deserving students for their higher studies. Sahu Jain Trust offers two types of scholarships: 1) Inland Scholarship is for pursuing studies in India and Overseas Loan Scholarships are provided for higher studies abroad.

Eligibility Conditions
  • Only the professional degree courses BE / B. Tech. & Integrated 5-yr. Dual-Degree M. Tech are eligible for scholarships.
  • Only FIRST YEAR applicants beginning their studies in BE, B. Tech. & Integrated 5-yr. Dual-Degree M. Tech in the academic year 2017-18 are eligible.
  • The applicants should have passed their Higher Secondary/ Pre-University/ Intermediate/ CBSE/ ISC or equivalent board qualifying examination not earlier than in 2017.
  • The applicants should have scored not less than 70% marks at the qualifying examination.
  • 5. The gross family income criteria is Rs. 1,80,000 per year. Gross income refers to the income before deductions for taxes or other purposes.
  • The applicants' admissions to their professional degree courses/ institutions should be on the basis of the open / general merit rank awarded to them at the state or national level entrance tests or through a counseling process conducted at the state level .

  • The Scholarship will cover the total annual College/University Fee upto a maximum of Rs.25,000/- of the selected candidates. 
  • Students whose family is facing critical situations because of any unfortunate incident occurred in last 2 yrs.
  • Students undergoing a crisis situation. Crisis situation is defined as:
    • Sudden occurrence of an incident that has created a situation where the student/family require support.
    • Sudden job loss.
    • Sudden death/separation of parents.
    • Accident/death of siblings.
  • Sudden onset of a critical or life threatening illness.
