Thermogravimetric Analysis
Perkin Elmer
Thermogravimetric analysis is an equipment that measures the change in weight and hence mass of a sample with change in temperature. Mass of a sample changes due to various chemical or physical changes sensed by the equipment as thermal events. These chemical/physical changes or thermal evens may be desorption, absorption, sublimation, vaporization, oxidation, reduction and decomposition. The study is carried out by subjecting the sample over a range of temperature can be programmed using the software provided with the equipment.

The apparatus is equipped with large isothermal zone provides excellent temperature reproducibility. Apart from these rapid furnace cooling facilities using tap water and integral forced air are available that more samples can be studied in less time.
