Description:  This course aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with bioanalytical techniques commonly used in biological and biomedical research. The techniques covered in this course include spectroscopy, microscopy, electrophoresis, and chromatography, which are essential for analyzing biomolecules, cells, and tissues. Students will explore the theoretical foundations, practical applications, and limitations of each method. Learning Outcomes: 1.Understand the principles behind various bioanalytical techniques and their applications. 2.Perform laboratory-based bioanalytical procedures with a high degree of accuracy. 3.Analyze complex biological samples using sophisticated instruments and interpret the data effectively. 4.Address the ethical concerns and legal guidelines related to bioanalytical work. 5.Design experiments to investigate biological systems and assess the effectiveness of different products or treatments.

Dr. Gurmeen Rakhra is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry at Lovely Professional University (LPU), where she has been serving for the past five and a half years. She earned her Ph.D. in Plant Biochemistry from Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) in Amritsar. Prior to her tenure at LPU, she completed two academic terms at DAV University, where she gained valuable experience in teaching and research. At LPU, Dr. Rakhra is currently guiding four Ph.D. students and three Masters students, contributing significantly to the academic and research landscape. With over 20 high-impact publications in reputed journals, she has made notable contributions to the field of biochemistry, particularly in plant biochemistry.
