Dr. Mohammad Rafiq Dar
Associate Professor

Dr. Mohd Rafiq Dar is an experienced academic and legal professional with over 12 years of experience in teaching and legal practice. He holds a Ph.D. in Consumer Law from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, with a focus on consumer justice and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India in the context of Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Dar has earned his LLM in Commercial Law from Aligarh Muslim University and has a BSc, LLB, and a Diploma in Computer Applications. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at the School of Law, Lovely Professional University, and has previously taught at institutions such as the University of Kashmir and Kashmir Law College. He has also practiced law at the Jammu & Kashmir High Court and has significant expertise in legal drafting, litigation management, and organizing national seminars and moot court events. Dr. Dar has contributed extensively to legal academia with over 12 research articles published in peer-reviewed journals, and authored books and chapters on topics related to consumer protection, insolvency, and competition law. He has actively participated in national and international seminars, workshops, and conferences, presenting papers on topics ranging from consumer protection to artificial intelligence and its impact on the legal system. His achievements include serving as a resource person, judge, and moderator in various legal forums and being the Chief Convener of the KLC Law Society and Debating Society. His involvement in both academic and practical legal fields underscores his commitment to legal education and advocacy.
