Description: This course is designed to: 1.To help learners develop understanding of developing Go-Kart for participating competition. 2.Develop skills to fabricate actual Go-Kart and overcome challenges during the process. 3.Understand the event guidelines and how to craft a Go-Kart around it for creating championships winning Go-Kart Learning Outcome: 1)To comprehend the major subsystems, design principles, and the role of each component in go-kart engineering. 2)To design and develop go-karts compliant with competition guidelines and safety regulations. 3)To conduct precise design and performance calculations for key systems such as battery, transmission, braking, and steering. 4)To gain practical experience in assembling, optimizing, and troubleshooting go-kart systems. 5)To learn techniques to enhance driving performance and achieve track-ready efficiency. 6)To analyze recent EV industry case studies to align designs with emerging trends and innovations.
Sumit Kanchan brings 10+ years of rich industry and academia experience to the automotive field. With an experience as research scholar at the IOCL R&D center in Faridabad, he currently serves as an Assistant Professor at School of Mechanical Engineering, Lovely Professional University. He has presented his work in SAEINDIA conferences. He is honored to have received awards and recognitions for his role as the Best Entrepreneurship Coordinator and his participation in esteemed industrial societies such as SAEINDIA and ISIE India. Recognized as a certified Innovation Ambassador by the Ministry of Education, AICTE, Govt of India. Under his able guidance students has won 86 awards (including 3 Go-Karts title championships) in various motorsports competitions like Supra, IKR, Baja, RCDC, Efficycle events. Sumit Kanchan is deeply involved in advancing research in Low Temperature Combustion, Alternate Fuels for IC engines, Battery modelling and Biofuels. He has published more than 25 research papers and 12 patents. Moreover, his contribution extends beyond academia; he actively participates as a Technical Jury member in motorsports competitions, following his passion for practical applications of engineering. He has received many recognitions for his role as Jury members in many automotive competitions.
