“The Art of Language: Grammar, Vocabulary & Literary Insight” is a comprehensive skill enhancement course designed to strengthen students’ command over English grammar while fostering literary understanding and creative expression. The course systematically covers essential grammatical components including tenses, sentence structures, clauses, modals, and adverbs to ensure structural accuracy and linguistic clarity. In addition to grammar, students engage with selected literary texts such as short stories by Henry’s After Twenty Years, Gabriel García Márquez’s A Very Old Man with Enormous Wings, autobiographical excerpts from A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s Wings of Fire and Nelson Mandela’s Long Walk to Freedom, and Ruskin Bond’s The Blue Umbrella. These texts are studied to enhance interpretative skills, thematic understanding, and literary awareness. The course further emphasizes creative and analytical writing, guiding students on how to construct structured, insightful, and expressive answers. Through integrated grammar practice, textual analysis, and application-based exercises, learners develop accuracy, critical thinking, and confident communication. The program concludes with an MCQ-based end-term examination covering both grammar and prescribed literary texts. Learning Outcomes: By the end of this course, students will be able to: Apply correct usage of tenses, modals, clauses, and adverbs in written and spoken communication.
