What you'll learn

SparkSpeak: English Skills Ignition Course is a practical, activity-based spoken English program designed for Hindi-speaking beginners to build real-life communication skills, confidence, and fluency through a speaking-first approach. Through daily-use vocabulary, situational dialogues, role-plays, fluency drills, and picture-based activities, learners gradually reduce hesitation, improve pronunciation, and apply essential grammar naturally while speaking. By the end of the course, learners will confidently communicate in everyday situations, describe events and routines, participate in group discussions, and sustain short conversations with clarity and reduced Mother Tongue Influence.

  • Week 1 focuses on shifting students from Hindi-thinking to English-thinking by building strong foundations in pronunciation, everyday vocabulary, and simple grammar. Students learn how to introduce themselves confidently, form basic sentences, and participate in micro-conversations. Speaking practice happens in pairs and groups to remove hesitation.
  • Week 2 strengthens grammar required for basic communication. Students practice speaking using present tense structures, asking questions correctly, and using functional verbs in conversation. Activities like routine narration and situational dialogues help them speak naturally about daily life.
  • This week focuses on improving fluency through expressive language. Students learn to describe, narrate, and express emotions. Storytelling games and picture-based speaking improve creativity, while situational English builds survival communication skills. CA–1 checks early fluency progress.
  • Week 4 builds English needed in real-life situations. Students practice telephone handling, asking for help, giving directions, and ordering food using role plays. They also learn polite expressions and social English. The Real-world Interaction Lab strengthens confidence through simulations.
  • Students integrate grammar with fluency. They learn to talk about past experiences, express future plans, and correct common Hindi-based errors. Vocabulary sessions expand their expressive range. Group speaking circles boost fluency and help learners speak confidently in front of peers.
  • Week 6 transforms learners into confident speakers. Students practice introducing peers, delivering short speeches, and handling real-life English challenges through role-plays. The final assessment evaluates fluency, clarity, and confidence. The course ends with a showcase event where learners present in English.
