Dr. Vishal Francis
Associate Professor

Dr. Vishal Francis is an Associate Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Lovely Professional University, Punjab, India. He holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design, and Manufacturing, Jabalpur, India, with a specialization in 3D printing of nanocomposites. With over a decade of teaching and industrial experience, Dr. Vishal has made substantial contributions to both academia and industry. His research primarily focuses on additive manufacturing, polymer nanocomposites, 3D printed electronics, additive nanomanufacturing, and the applications of additive manufacturing in biomedical engineering. Currently, Dr. Vishal is engaged in a project funded by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), which focuses on developing an advanced 3D printing system for manufacturing printed circuit boards (PCBs). His research work has been published in esteemed peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, underscoring his commitment to advancing the field of 3D printing. Dr. Vishal has demonstrated his expertise in the field of 3D printing through various initiatives. He has organized and delivered expert lectures in programs sponsored by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST). Furthermore, he has contributed to a MOOC on the SWAYAM portal for a course on 3D Printing and Design offered by NITTTR, Bhopal, sharing his knowledge with a wider audience. He has also authored a book on 3D printing. In addition to his research contributions, Dr. Vishal is a reviewer for numerous international journals, including those published by Elsevier, Springer, Emerald, Sage, and Wiley. His expertise and dedication to 3D printing have positioned him as a valuable asset to both the academic and research communities.
