The University continues to closely monitor the evolving situation of COVID-19 and is following the guidelines issued by State/Central Government from time-to-time. In response to the current pandemic condition in India, the University has taken the following initiatives to support the prospective students along with the existing LPU community:
Complete Online Process:
Fully Online Application and Admission process: Student can complete all the stages of admission from Application to appearing for test, interview, taking admission and uploading of documents through online mode only.
Proctored Test/ Interview from Home: LPU has also initiated the conduct of remotely proctored online LPUNEST (Eligibility Exam) from home and remote video Interviews for admission.
Provisional admission by paying a nominal fee of INR 10,000 in all programmes (except M.Sc. Agriculture and M.Pharm. Programmes).
The balance payment period is generally 10-15 days after the allotment of seat but now the student can deposit the balance fees in parts before the start of session that is supposed to start from August 2021 (except M.Sc. Agriculture and M.Pharm. Programmes).

Augmenting support to deserving candidates, LPU has further expanded the scope of scholarship.
Scholarship will also be offered on the basis of qualification previous to eligibility qualification. For example, someone seeking admission in B.Tech. can seek scholarship on the basis of 10+2 (Eligibility Qualification) or 10th (Qualification previous to 10+2).
Document Submission: Looking at the current scenario of postponement of exams in most cases, the eligibility qualification documents can be submitted whenever the result will be declared by the board/ university from where the student is pursuing previous qualification, may be in September/ October or even later. The university will consider it for admission verification; however, eligibility requirements will have to be fulfilled in all cases.
Easy and Convenient Refund Processing: In case of refund, LPU has also extended its support to candidates by accepting refund applications through online mode. If any candidate applies for the refund on or before 31st August 2021, then the amount deposited by the candidate for programme fee will be refunded after deduction of INR 1000 only. Dealing with COVID-19 situation was challenging not only for us but for everyone on this universe. However, LPU delivered on its critical commitments to facilitate effective learning for our students by training and advancing their knowledge frontier through comprehensive (360°) use of technology. Starting new session for Batch 2020 in July/ August 2020.
Completing 1st and 2nd semester for 2020 batch students on time in December 2020 and May 2021 respectively.
Started Online classes:
To ensure that the precious time of the students is not lost, we started with live online classes immediately after the announcement of lockdown in March 2020.
Developing “LPU MyClass”, an in house robust platform, in collaboration with some of the best tech companies for online teaching and evaluation.
Live online classes, much like face-to-face classes whose effectiveness has already been well tested in the last two semesters wherein more than 1,00,000 hours of online sessions were conducted for LPU students across various academic programs.
These classes will continue till physical classes are permitted by the government and we are certain that you will enjoy this experience, which has its own charm and advantages, to prepare you for the technology dominated future.
Continued our focus on holistic development of the students, conducted 1000+ cultural events, co-curricular activities community projects, Expert lectures and Conferences in the Pandemic year.

For Batch 2021 also, we are fully equipped and prepared to start the session on time (August 2021) with much more strong commitment and experience. The detailed schedule of induction and start of classes will be updated soon.
Proportionate Charges for residential Facilities: We are optimistic that classes will start in physical mode. If there is any delay in the commencement of classes in the physical mode, resulting in shorter duration of stay in university residence and use of other residential facilities. In that case, the charges of residential facilities will be reduced proportionately, and students will be required to pay for the duration from the announced date of start of Physical classes till the announced date of end of academic Session including Examination.

All the members of faculty and staff are required to follow the COVID-19 related policies and requirements as stated by State/ Central Government.
