A qualification in Hotel Management will enable you to take on a variety of hospitality jobs with confidence, education and experience; in other words, with an ideal grounding for potential industry leadership. The School of Hospitality trains the students not only in fulfilling the standards of hospitality expected by guests in any hotel establishment, but also in the background work which every hotel manager should be capable of doing. Amongst other things, this background work relates to language study, the job’s financial aspect and possible human resources issues. With a growth rate of 18 per cent per annum, the Indian aviation industry is one of the fastest growing aviation industries in the world. The government's open sky policy has led to many overseas players entering the market and the industry has been growing both in terms of players and number of aircraft. The Indian aviation sector is likely to see clear skies ahead in the years to come. Passenger traffic is projected to grow at a CAGR (Compound annual growth rate) of over 15 per cent in the next 5 years. The Vision 2020 statement announced by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, envisages creating infrastructure to handle 280 million passengers by 2020. The contribution of travel and tourism industry to Indian industry is immense. Tourism in India has registered significant growth in the recent years and India has tremendous potential to become a major global tourist destination.
Travel and tourism industry is the second highest foreign exchange earner for India, and according to an estimate the total direct employment in the tourism sector is around 20 million. India's tourism industry is thriving due to an increase in foreign tourist arrivals and greater than before travel by Indians to domestic destinations. In the past few years the real growth has come from within the domestic sector as around 30 million Indians travel within the country in a year.
The course in Airlines and Tourism provides an opportunity for students to develop academic and industry specific skills linked to the commercial aviation industry. This course is designed around one of the world’s most exciting and vibrant industries—Tourism. The course provides students with an understanding of the structure, nature and operating characteristics of the international tourism industry. It examines a range of contemporary issues associated with the travel and tourism industry, such as product ranges, business tourism, tour operators, travel agencies and transportation for tourism. |

The area of nutrition plays a significant role in enhancing the nutritional status of individuals, families and communities and thus contributing to overall national development. Dietetics is the science of managing food, promoting health by meal planning in the maintenance of health along with the prevention and treatment of diseases.
The ultimate aim of all developmental progress is to achieve the goal of "Health for All".

The objective of the Discipline is to enhance a graduate's knowledge base and expertise in the continually advancing field of nutrition and clinical dietetics. In addition, the program is designed to provide quantitative and methodological knowledge necessary to better interpret the scientific literature for conducting nutritional research.
