EDB and Phases of Fee/Scholarship for B.Tech. Programme

Abstract of Fee and Scholarship applicable to B.Tech Programmes in different phases is given below:

  • Phase – I (EDB phase): Applicable till 31st May 2016. For B.Tech Programmes, Phase-I may be implemented in two Schedules – Phase 1A and Phase 1B.
  • Phase – I A: Applicants admitted in Phase – IA will be paying fee of last year (2015) and will be offered maximum possible Scholarship. All such students will end up paying lesser fee than the students not admitted through Phase – I A.
  • Phase – I B: In this Phase, applicant will be paying fee of 2015 but Scholarship amount will reduce by Rs. 10000 per annum compared to Phase 1A.
  • Phase – II: From 1st June to 30th June. Fee applicable to the applicants admitted during Phase – II will be of this year i.e. 2016 (Rs. 10000 per annum higher than Phase – 1B fee). However, the Scholarship available during Phase – II will be same as Phase – IB which is higher than Phase – III (Rs. 10000 per annum higher than Phase - III).
  • Phase – III: From 1st July to 25th July. Fee applicable during Phase-III will be of this year i.e. 2016. Scholarship available during this Phase will be lesser than Phase – II (Lesser by Rs. 10000 per annum). However, Phase – III will be the last phase of Scholarship and after this phase, Scholarship will not be available.
  • Phase – IV: From 26th July to 10th August. Fee of 2016 will be applicable without any Scholarship.

NOTE: Phase – IB/ II/ III / IV will be offered only if seats remain vacant.

Details of PHASE-IA:

  • Fee and Scholarship applicable to B.Tech, Integrated B.Tech-M.Tech and Integrated B.Tech - MBA Programmes in Phase – IA is given below in Table. Applicants admitted under this Phase may avail Scholarship up to Rs. 5 Lac for 5 years integrated Programme and up to Rs. 6 Lac for B.Tech 4 year Programme.
  • Fee / Scholarship as mentioned above can be availed only through LPUNEST-2016(B.Tech). Applicant has to qualify LPUNEST-2016(B.Tech) as per the details mentioned in LPUNEST Kit and participate in online counselling to be conducted from 4th May onwards.

Result

Result of LPUNEST-2016 (B.Tech) to be declared on 4th May will contain the following details for each applicant:

  • He/she has qualified LPUNEST-2016 i.e. scored more than the prescribed Cut-off marks as decided by University. Different cut-offs may be defined for different programmes. For example cut-off for B.Tech(Hons) may be higher than B.Tech programmes.
  • He/she is among top 35% applicants appeared for LPUNEST-2016 (B.Tech) {subject to qualifying LPUNEST(B.Tech)] in Phase – I. In fact separate list for top 10% , next 10% (11% - 20%) and next 15% (21% - 35%) will be announced.
  • Rank secured by the applicant. In case there is tie between two students:
    • Candidate with higher ‘sum of best 2’ marks will get higher rank. In case there is tie between ‘sum of best 2’ marks also;
    • Candidate with higher ‘highest marks in any subject’ will get higher rank. In case there is tie between ‘highest marks in any subject’;
    • Elder candidate will get higher rank.

NOTE: Result will be made available on university website only and no separate communication will be done.

Details of PHASE-IB (25th April to 31st May)

  • All those applicants who DO NOT apply for LPUNEST on or before last date of application for LPUNEST (25th April 2016) may apply for Admission in Phase – IB.
  • Fee / Scholarship Applicable in Phase – IB will be as per the Table 1 given above. Fee in this Phase will be same as last year (i.e. 2015) but Scholarship will reduce by Rs. 10000/- per annum.
  • To take admission in Phase – IB, applicant must take admission on or before 31st May 2016. As admission in B.Tech Programmes is through LPUNEST only. So applicant may be admitted provisionally but he/she has to apply and qualify LPUNEST before the dates prescribed by the University.
  • LPUNEST in Phase–I B will be conducted from 20th May 2016 to 31st May 2016.

Details of Phase – II [1st June 2016 to 30th June 2016]

  • Fee and Scholarship applicable in Phase – II will be as per Table 2 given below. Fee applicable in this Phase is of 2016 but Scholarship is same as Phase – I B. Effective difference in fee compared to Phase – IB is Rs. 10000 per annum.
  • To take admission in Phase – II, applicant must take admission on or before 30th June 2016. As admission in B.Tech Programmes is through LPUNEST only, so applicant may be admitted provisionally but he/she has to apply and qualify LPUNEST before the last date as prescribed by the University.
  • LPUNEST in Phase – II will be conducted from 20th June 2016 to 30th June 2016.

Details of Phase – III [1st July 2016 to 25th July 2016]

  • Fee and Scholarship applicable in Phase – III will be as per Table 2 given below. Fee applicable in this Phase is of 2016 only but Scholarship will be reduced further as compared to Phase – II. Effective difference in fee compared to Phase – II is Rs. 10000 per annum.
  • To take admission in Phase – III, applicant must take admission on or before 25th July 2016. As admission in B.Tech Programmes is through LPUNEST only, so applicant may be admitted provisionally but he/she has to apply and qualify LPUNEST before the last date as prescribed by the University.
  • LPUNEST in Phase – III will be conducted from 15th July 2016 to 25th July 2016.

  • In Phase - I B, Phase – II and Phase – III, result regarding whether an applicant has qualified LPUNEST-2016 or not (i.e. whether applicant is eligible for Admission or not and whether Scholarship on the basis of 10+2 or JEE(Main) is available or not) will be declared one day after the conduct of exam on university website. However, result regarding whether an applicant is among top 35% applicants qualifying LPUNEST-2016 will be declared as per following Schedule
    • For Phase – IB on 4th June 2016
    • For Phase - II on 4th July
  • Fee and Scholarship details applicable to B.Tech, Integrated B.Tech – M.Tech and Integrated B.Tech – MBA programmes are mentioned in tables 1 and 2. For B.Tech (Hons.) programme Scholarship will remain same as mentioned in the tables, however fee will be Rs. 10000/- per semester more than the fee mentioned in the tables. For details Click here
  • All those applicants who appeared in LPUNEST in a specific phase, qualify it, but did not took admission in that specific phase, can take admission in subsequent phase and avail the Scholarship as defined in the Phase in which they are are taking admission.
