For quality intake of Students, a Talent Search Test will be conducted for X and XII class students of 2009-10 by the University. The main features of this test will be as follows :-

  • Target Group :X and XII class students studying in Govt. or Non-Govt., affiliated/recognized Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools particularly from Punjab will be eligible for this test.
  • Structure of Test : The test will be of one and half hour duration consisting of 100 questions with multiple    choice answers.  Following will be the subject-wise distribution of questions :-
    • For 10th : English -20, Science-20, Mathematics-20, Aptitude-20, General Knowledge-20
    • For 12th : English-20, GK-10, Aptitude-10 and 20 questions from any of the following three elective subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, History, Political Science, Economics, Physical Education, Commerce, Computer Application, Home Science.
    • For both 10th and 12th class, curriculum prescribed by CBSE/PSEB will be followed.
  • Centre of Conducting Test : Building No. 1 and 4  of Lovely Professional University, Chaheru, Phagwara.
  • Date and time of Test :  9 May  2010 ( Sunday ) from 11:30 AM to 01:00 PM.
  • Transport : Free Transport from Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Hoshiarpur and Kapurthala.  From other station, candidates will make their own arrangement, however they will be provided free boarding and lodging facility on 8 May 2010 or 9 May 2010 ( night stay )
  • Examination Fee: No Examination fee will be charged from the  students.
  • Merit Awards: Following prizes will be given to class X and XII students separately:
    • First prize of Rs.10,000/- will be given to topper of the test.
    • 0.2%, 0.4% and 0.6% of total students appeared will be entitled for prizes worth Rs.5,000/- ,            Rs.2500/- and 1000/- respectively.
  • Scholarship:Top 10% students appeared in the  test will be entitled for scholarship as per university   policy, if they join any of LPU programme, and fulfill other eligibility criteria prescribed by University from time to time.
  • On the spot registration and issuing admit cards for already registered candidates those have not  received their admit cards and fresh candidates – 9 May 2010 at 10:30 AM
  • Declaration of result - 14 May 2010
  • Prize distribution to honour winners and their school heads - 26 May 2010
