LPU’s two Students got direct entry to Miss India Finale Auditions-2018 to be in Mumbai

Jalandhar: Two students, Belinda Maisnam and Navjot Kaur of Lovely Professional University (LPU) have now got direct entry to Miss India Finale Auditions-2018 to be held in Mumbai later on. Both of them are crowned as Campus Princess-2018, jointly, in a tough beauty pageant held at Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium of LPU. For this prestigious competition, Miss India (World) 2014 Koyal Rana and Mr India (World) 2016 Vishnuraj S Menon had judged 23 selected participants from 12+ campuses. Campus Princess event Head Bennett Nathan also present on the occasion. Central hero of the Pollywood’s famous movie ‘NAGARA’, Bhaveep S. Romana hosted the show.

Congratulating the winner students, LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal shared: “We all at LPU are immensely happy to see our students on the verge of having golden chance to be Miss India and then Miss World. I feel this all is happening due to our slogan given to students to ever “think big”. We want to see many Olympians, Nobel Laureates, Scientists, Mr and Miss from the campus and to make us feel proud.”

The entire team of fbb Campus Princess was seen ecstatic in the company of the finalists of this unique beauty pageant, where all were groomed and guided by the trainers and judges. Taking example from his personal life, former Mr India Vishnuraj guided all never to give up; Miss India Koyal Rana advised all to believe in themselves to the core; whereas, Bennett Nathan invoked students to utilize such a great platform to earn name and fame for the self and the country. All of them inspired participants by informing that Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar was also once a campus princess.

‘Campus Princess’ is an initiative which explores and empowers promising talents throughout the country through getting engaged with the student community. Further, Miss India competition takes place every year in the month of March or April, where beauties from all across the country compete each other to win. FBB Femina Miss India 2018 will be representing India in Miss Universe 2018 later this year. Now, LPU Campus Princess-2018 winners Belinda and Navjot are all set to shine at Miss India 2018. Other two of the four finalists were Navneet Kaur of DAV University Jalandhar and Medha Arora from Institute of Dental Scineces, Jammu. LPU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Ramesh Kanwar and Dean Student Welfare Department Dr Sorabh Lakhanpal were also present on the occasion.

Belinda, who has joined LPU study programme covering long distance of thousands from Imphal in Manipur, shares: “Presently, I am overwhelmed with extreme joys! Being a technology student, I had never thought to be the winner of such a prestigious event. It is all due to the inspiration and motivation from my teachers at LPU. Prior to this during my school days I had never participated in such events. LPU identified true me in myself and let me proceed on to the top of the podium. After all the grooming and training that I and other participants received through LPU mentors during the preparatory hours is highly appreciable. I love my LPU from the core of my heart.” Similar are the views of the other winner Navjot, who hails from Bathinda in Punjab. She shares that they are now close to the zenith of success by winning preliminary crown.
